Volunteering 21: Clean Up (Oldale) Mirella stretched her arm trying to reach the odd colour she could see in the bush. It was probably some piece of candy paper, but it was hard to tell what exactly. She grumbled a bit at the trouble of reaching it. This was the worst part of collecting trash, having to get the things stuck in the depth of varies bushes. Finally, she got it, and she sighed as she pulled it out. Next, she found a scrap with the number 16B on it, and then she found the carcass of a Magikarp a little offshore with peck marks from birds. Mirella froze momentarily. It wasn't garbage per say, and would find its way into the natural order of things, but the sight of the dead fish made her stomach turn, and she squeezed her hands tight around her trash bag. She bend down and carefully pushed the body away from the path, under some bushes, where bugs and other animals would get themselves a meal undisturbed. Her eyes began to hurt, but she held it in and went on her way. (Wordcount: 183)

(post 20, wordcount: 180 post 11/?) reaching post 20, I would like to ask for an Ultra Ball
The festival was getting close but Dagrun had a bit trouble concentrating on it, since her mind was occupied with the old man and what her next step should be. She had made most of the preparations the organizers had asked her to do, but she honestly didn't care. She was out handing out fliers to people on the street to invite them to come to the festival and see all what the children was doing, or come as volunteer and help out with various things, they could always use some extra hands. Dagrun was surprised when the old story teller stopped her, when they met on the street and apologised for his earlier behavior and invited her home to tea later that day, so she could explain what the Festival wanted from him. Dagrun accepted happily and handed out the rest of her fliers as fast as possible to quickly return to the school and hear what exactly they wished from the old man, the more she had to talk with him about, the longer she would stay in his house.

Volunteering 22: Duties (Petalburg) Once more the weather forced her indoors, and she sat on the stairs in the hallway staring at the rain pouring down on the other side of the door. She felt horrible, and didn't even know why. She decided she needed a bit of company. That might cheer her up, and she needed to wash the floor in the kitchen and bathroom, so one of her water pokemon would make things a lot easier. Mirella hesitated. She had a hard time keeping tears back, and she didn't know half her Pokemon well enough to know how they would react to her miserable state. Whiskas would have been her best choice then, but she didn't have a patch of water nearby. She thought of her latest addition to the team, and decided Lily's small bubbles was ideal for washing the floors. Plus, she had noticed the Lotad seemed half blind on land, so Mirella might be able to hide how she looked. Mirella got up and walked to the kitchen, releasing Lily as she went. (Wordcount: 174)

The old Stort teller welcomed Dagrun with open arms, much to her surprise and happily offered er coffee to go with the cake as they sat in his small living room. Hadn't he been so dismissive of her earlier she could easily had fallen for his act, now it just made her suspicious and urging to take a look around, though she kept up the act and chitchattet politely with him. She noticed Otieno in a dark corner, and wondered how she best could distract the old man so she could take a look around in his house. He gave the solution himself shortly after, as he wanted to find and show her some things he thought may could be itneresting for the children. She asked to go to his bathroom while was looking, and as soon as she was out of sight, she followed Otieno to what the nincada had found: a secret door in a closet. While Otieno kept watch she investigated the door which was locked, not that it was a problem for Hulda, the lock was old too. She could easily pick it open og peeked inside the dark room. It seemed unused and had some old dusty red uniforms laying around. It fitted well with what she had heard earlier, that the old man had connections to the groups she was here to investigate, but that he was retired from it. She locked the door and recalled Otieno before she made her way unnoticed to the bathroom. Dagrun had to become friends with the man, at the moment he was her only clue.

The big day had arrived: the opening of the pokemon theme week on the school. Dagrun was pleased, not only had she managed to solve all the tasks she had been givne throughout the week, she had also managed to convinve the old man to join and share some of his experience. Best of all, she had found a place to start with her investiagtions. Today she didn't have any time for that, she was busy in the Information booth all day since she had had contact to a lot of the participants and knew a lot of what was going on and where people were supposed to be. She got a short break with the rest of the staff as the children made their opening show and she took time to greet the old man when he arrived and to chat a bit with the bakers.

Day two of the theme week went well. Astrid's day started in the information booth where she was busy helping all the other volunteers to where they were supposed to do, and where to find the things they needed to help the kids. The ones who should help the kids make their own gym had trouble not being able to find some of the materials they needed, and they were too stressed to give Dagrun time to explain, so it took a while to get them to the right place. The rest seemed to go as planned and soon Dagrun would be able to relax a bit, until lunch arrived at least.

Things at the school event went fine... until lunch where the first problem arrived, or rather, didn't arrived. The lunch to all the volunteers hadn't arrived and Dagrun was trying to figure out what had happened and find a quick solution while answering questions for all the hungry volunteers, who wanted to know how the food situation looked. Dagrun quickly decided she didn't have time to learn what had happened and instead threw all her work into finding a replacement as fast as possible. An hour late lunch were finally served and people were happily eating and returning to their stalls while Dagrun caught her breath and hoped she would be free for similar ugent problems.
