Character Creation Guide & Rules Rule: No Canon characters! This means no characters from any official Pokemon franchise, especially main characters Name: First and last name mandatory. Middle, and nicknames optional.Age: What is the age when the character starts the Pokemon journey? You can be anything from young age to middle age, or even old age! Trainer Class: For more information, see next post. This will affect starting items and Pokemon choice. Gender:Male or Female. Birthplace:You can list the city or just the region of your character's birth. Residence:This will be where your character lives and/or starts in Hoenn. As stated in this thread, you may begin your adventure in Littleroot Town, Oldale Town, Petalburg City, Rustboro City, Dewford Island, Fallarbor Town, Verdanturf Town, Slateport City, Lavaridge Town, OR Mauville City. Story Affiliation: Whenever the character partakes in the story quest, this is helpful to know what opponent the RPer would face. The choices are Team Aqua, Team Magma, or Neutral-Hero. Rival Gender and starter: In some quests, you would encounter the in-game counterpart rival. While the Pokemon is about the same, you may choose the gender of your rival. The starter option is Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip, which would affect which starter the in-game rival (May or Brendan) would have, since everyone can start with different starters. Appearance:Rules: All characters should be humans only! This means no hybrids, no morphing, etc. Guide: Everything about appearance goes: Height, body frame, hair length, hair color, eye color, eye shape, face shape, nose shape, mouth shape, dimples or not, wearing glasses or contacts or not, Previous scars, and injuries, but this shouldn't be common as there's medical treatment for such things. What does your character wear in the winter, summer, rainy day, clear day, windy day, etc. If you get most of these covered, it should be fine. Personality:When it comes to personality, the Big 5 Personality traits can be used. A simplified explanation of the traits are listed below. 1. Extrovert/social --- Introvert/reserved? 2. Cooperative/trusting --- competitive/distrusting 3. Organized/Mindful --- Spontaneous/Impulsive 4. Emotionally controlled --- Moody 5. Creative/Abstract/Imaginative --- Concrete/Factual Note that this the Big 5 is more like a scale instead of a "one or the other". When writing personality, think about the interaction with other npcs, other role-players, or Pokemon encounters. Your first paragraph should be about the big 5, and the second paragraph would be anything else not covered on the first paragraph. History:For the history section, it is suggested to explain the character's birth, childhood, upbringing, experiences up to the age, and then end with the how and why of starting Pokemon journeying. if your character is past teenage years, please also add teenage years and adulthood experiences that might be relevant. Dream Pokemon:Trivia question. Please list 10 Pokemon that your character would hope to obtain or meet. Please list only the evolution stage that you like. So yes, you can have "Squirtle, Wartortle" if you really like both that much. Referral:How did you find PMU? If it's an ad or person, please name the person who posted the ad, or the person. if it's a website, perhaps name the search engine and your search term. Name:
