Volunteer Post 1 - Clean Up Petalburg Woods Word Count: 372
"So you're picking up garbage now?"
"No. I'm volunteering. I'm helping make Hoenn a better place."
"So what does that even mean?"
"I'm... beautifying the forests and streets to promote a greener, healthier Hoenn... or so the pamphlet said."
"So you're picking up garbage."
"Yes. So I am. What's it to you?"
"Ooh. Look at me. I'm so scared. Even if we weren't over the phone, you're still like, what? 4'5?"
"4... 11. It's still been five years."
Noelle sighed as she walked around Petalburg Woods holding a big trash bag, about a quarter full. Seraph and Tesla were scurrying around the forest, grabbing as much debris as their small, bodies could, then they'd run back to their trainer and try to make it in the bag. They did not always make it in.
It didn't look like Noelle was paying too much attention, though. She had a headphone in her ear, and it looked like she was having a conversation with herself. Rather, it was her Pokegear, and she was in the middle of a call with her brother, Matt.
"Okay, okay. So now that you're a trainer you're feisty. I get it. Whatever. Why are you wasting your time... 'volunteering' or whatever?"
"This place took me in. It's my home now. I feel like I should help out in any way I can."
"Oh! Speaking of home! You do know you're screwed now, right?"
"Um... what?" There was no response. It seemed like the call got dropped. Frustrated, Noelle kept trying to call back her brother, but there was no response. Throwing her Pokegear back in her bag, she returned her focus to her Pokemon, who were now having a fight with all the trash that didn't quite make it in the bag.
"Guys!!" Noelle whistled sharply, stopping the two Pokemon in their tracks. The two looked at the mess they made, and then at their trainer. Noelle sighed and set the bag down, picking up the pile of trash that now accumulated.
"C'mon, you guys. We still got the rest of the forest to check out." Noelle said, trying to occupy her mind with cleaning instead of her brother's words.

Dagrun's idea with the sandpit had been a success, but it gave her a lot of cleaning up afterwards. Natsumi helped her digging the sand out and over in a wheelbarrow, she then rolled to a container that would take it away. It took time and was hard work, but Dagrun was alright doing it as everyone else was working hard to clean up after the festival too. They would need to be done tomorrow at latest as normal school days would resume after that. "What do you have there, Natsumi?" Dagrun asked as Natsumi came with something she had found buried in the sand. It must have been something the kids hadn't found yesterday.

Volunteer Post 2 - Clean Up Petalburg Town Word Count: 569
"So you really don't know, huh?"
"Um..."
"Oh, poor Mallory."
"I... stop calling me Mallory!"
"Heh. We'll see. Anyway, so as I was saying before, you do realize you can't go back home, right?"
"Yes. I get it. But why?"
"Alright, so basically, there's a whole search party looking for you back in Johto."
"Excuse me?"
"Yeah. It's messy. Like, mom and dad really lost their shit when you left. They got all these people looking for you, I know that if they don't find you, a candlelight vigil's next."
"Um... so... what do I do?"
"Excellent question. Well, look. I don't know. This didn't happen to me. It's clear you're the favorite, because those dirty bastards just let me go without even so much as a call."
"You... sound upset over it."
"A little. I'm happy I left and all, but..."
Noelle walked around Petalburg Town holding yet another trash bag, this one about half full of debris from the forest earlier. Seraph and Tesla were still following Noelle around, trying to grab some debris, except this time they carefully put in in the bag, after being scolded by Noelle back in the forest.
As usual, Noelle was paying absolutely zero attention, her attention much more absorbed in her Pokegear, now that Matt finally answered.
"I don't know. I guess I should've seen it coming. I did act like such a punk to them, but... y'know, whatever."
"R-right. Um... I suppose I should lay low here in Hoenn."
"Yeah, that sounds about right. Don't worry too much, okay? Eventually you'll have a big ol' team of supernatural creatures and then no-one will be able to give you crap." Noelle smiled softly. Her mood seemed to perk up a bit more. Sure, she may have caused a big problem back home, but Matt was right. She ran away for the pursuit of her dreams and desire. To her, this was a sign that turning back was nothing but an impossibility, which she didn't completely hate.
"Thanks, Matt."
"Any time, Mallory."
"Stop calling me Mallory!!"
"No. Anyway, I should really get going. Like... urgently. You should get back to being a janitor around Hoenn, or whatever. Talk to you later!"
"I'm not a janitor! I'm voluntee-"
But her cry was for vain, as an abnormally loud roar was heard over the speaker. Anyone with much higher expertise regarding Pokemon could tell that it was an Ursaring roar.
"Oh great... she's back... run! RUN!!"
Noelle's eyes widened as the Pokegear returned to the main menu, a sign that the call had been dropped. Just what in the world was Matt doing? It sounded much more exciting that Noelle's journey... but then again, she knew she was too rookie to deal with any of the things Matt could. She instead focused her attention back to her Pokemon, who were slacking off again, throwing the garbage at each other and deflecting it with weak versions of their fighting moves. As Tesla threw Seraph a can of soda, he used a light Scratch attack to send it flying away, hitting Noelle in the face.
Noelle simply stared at the Pokemon as the can fell onto the floor with a dull thud. She cleared her throat and said nothing, she simply set the trash bag down and began chasing her Pokemon across the city angrily.

(post 31, wordcount: 212 post 22/22) Dagrun was cleaning up the last few things after the school event, the sand had been collected, the booths had been taken down and the children had been taught the importance of cleaning up after oneself. Now it was late afternoon and there were few signs left of what had been here, the children had been taken home and most people were preparing dinner. Dagrun was still out here, now all alone only with the help of a few of her pokemon and tidying up the last few things, tomorrow it was school day and there should be nothing dangerous for the kids to find. Natsumi, who had proven to be really good for these kind of tasks, had once again found something she thought Dagrun perhaps would find useful, and knew that she could get a tasty treat if she guessed correctly. Dagrun didn't paid her any attention at the moment though, as the old story teller had come to her and praised her for her helpfulness and asked if she would come and help him in the garden the next weekend and offered her coffee and cake as reward. She was pussled but agreed happily, she had wanted to get closer to him anyway and this was a great chance.

#1 Cleaning up Mauville!
After completing a little bit of training with her Pokemon, Merit figured that it would be a good idea to take a break and find something a little less stressful for her Pokemon and herself to do for a little while. Her keen emerald eyes had captured various flyers within the city requesting volunteers to help clean up the city. Merit had decided that it would be the perfect opportunity for her and her Pokemon to participate in the event. It would provide them a little bit of quiet time and help build up their bond even more by focusing on working together. She took out Apolline's Poke Ball and released the small Torchic from the red and white orb. There was no need to call out Zeus, since he was currently sitting on her shoulder.
"Okay, listen up! We're going to do a little team building exercise right now. We're going to help clean up the city while learning to work together even more as a team." Merit explained as she held a trash bag in her right hand. The Torchic and Pichu stared at their trainer with excitement sparkling in their small eyes. "We're going to walk around the city and put any pieces of trash into this bag. Should be an easy job for us to do. Afterwards. we will grab a small snack or something as a treat." She added with a soft smile. Apolline and Zeus both smiled at their trainer as the two of them followed after her and starting picking up trash around the city. "Clean up, clean up, everybody, everywhere. Clean up, clean up, everybody do your share!" Merit sung out loud as her and her Pokemon continued to cleaning up around the city. Apolline and Zeus singing and dancing along with their trainer as the volunteering time started to pass by.

(post 32, wordcount:271) Dagrun enjoyed that the school event was done, it had been fun and she had learned a lot of the people in the town, but got nothing that pulled her closer to the teams she was investigating. Nothing else than the old storyteller whom she was about to go visit and help a bit in his garden, which was also the main reaoson she had accepted the job in the first place. The old man greeted her waarmly and insistet they should start with the coffee before she even got a chance to look at his garden, but since it brought her inside the house she was fine with it. As the conversation went on she quickly became less happy with it and much more careful about what she said, since he continued to hint that he knew something was off and talk about that he had a visit of an insect for a whole night, his eyes clearly tried to read her reactions to his comments and Dagrun did her best to act unknowingly and not like she tried to change the subject or explain any of the happenings, other than what you'd normally do when others asked for your oppinions. In the end the old man smiled and asked if she still was up to helping him with the garden, and she agreed before they went out to a well groomed garden that didn't need much work at all. "You sure you needed help with this?" Dagrun teased him as she raked the path and he smiled an confessed he had just wanted someone to share coffee and cake with.

Today Dagrun was back at the school where the event had found place, as they had been so happy for her help she had been the first they had contacted when they had needed help again. It was a little job this time luckily as it was just the school library that needed help with sorting all the books they had got donated in the event, and while she was add it, she read parts of some of them aloud to the children who were helping as well. Mostly if she found something that sounded funny or if the children requested to get something read aloud.
