Dagrun still didn't know what to do this week, but then she noticed one of the women who had helped out with the planing of the trees, and she followed her to see where she went. Perhaps it was a place where she could help out as well, it was a good way to learn about the region and get known as a happy go lucky trainer, like so many others. She was surprised to find herself in front of a home for the elderly, but she went inside acting like she was supposed to be there, and no-one batted an eye though a lot looked curiously at her. She did as the other and let out a couple of pokemon for the elderly to entertain themselves with, and Natsumi proved to be perfect for the task, as she was an angel the moment she learned she getting fed. Baldrian was the other one out and he was enough of a gentleman to be popular as well, although he was less a pokemon to be petted, and rather one to admire and a good listener to their many stories. Dagrun in the meantime, attempted to get a conversation going with the other volunteer who had let her here, if not successful, she would chat with all the elderly.
When they went home that evening, Natsumi was too full to move and Dagrun expected that the zigzagoon wouldn't be able to move for a couple of days with how her belly looked. She shook her head with a smile, silly pokemon.

Dagrun contacted the Old Home to hear, if they needed help with any other things, than just appearing out of the blue and entertaining the elderly for a couple of hours. Of course she didn't plan on taking over the care takers job and feed and clean for the elders, but perhaps there were other things she could help with. The Old Home's helpers were happy for her offer and they asked her on the spot to go along on a small one day picnic trip to the surrounding forest. It was always good with more to entertain and keep and eye on the elderly, and to have pokemon to protect them against any wild ones, should there be some aggressive around. It was a quiet day and Dagrun enjoyed chatting with the elderly, while she and her pokemon kept an eye on the surroundings, there were only a few taillows who were easily discouraged from ruining the day. Dagrun learned a lot about the regions history which she could use for her mission, so it was a win/win situation she think.

Dagrun had spent a lot of time in this specific house for the elderly, and had talked with most of the residents, and had noticed that there were plenty of volunteers, so she decided to try figure out if there were a place, that needed more help than this one. Although she needed to be aware not ending up being indispensable so it would be a problem when she left again. She found a smaller home for the elders in a nearby town, which had little to no volunteers, and she decided to step in and offer her help. They accepted it happily and the elderly were happy to get a break in the everyday run. The caregivers were grateful when Dagrun offered to try find other volunteers to the home.

Dagrun's first attempt to find other and more stable volunteers didn't go well. She simply tried to go around with flyers from the elder's home and talk with people, but most hurried on or excused themselves with being too busy. Dagrun scratched her head, what was the difference between this and the school event she had helped with? There had been plenty of volunteers and this was a lot smaller. She returned to the elder's home so they at least had her and her pokemon to socialize with, and talked with the caretakers about what to do. To her surprise they suggested to talk with the elders and hear their ideas, they had plenty of time and knew what they could be interested in.

The following time Dagrun were at the home for the elders, they had made flyers that simply invited people to come for lunch at the home, and Dagrun happily agreed to hand them out. She spent most of the day doing that but she enjoyed it. Most people were kind and politely interested, at least until they heard there were no catch and they seemed much more eager to come and visit. Some pretended they didn't saw Dagrun, probably thought she was going to try sell them something, and a few accepted the flyer only to threw it in the trash a few steps away, without even looking at it.

Dagrun helped the Elder home prepare for the visitors, which was a bit of a challenge when they didn't know how many would come. The elders did what they could to help prepare the food and set up the table, and the whole home were full og excitement and nervousness. They hoped a lot would come and it would be a wonderful day, but what if no-one showed up? They had no cause to worry though, as several people showed up and it became a nice day for both the elders and the visitors. There were fewer than they had hoped, but they were just happy someone came.

It was a couple of weeks since Dagrun had visited the elder home, and she felt bad for having left as it was back to the old ways. Only difference was that the elders still talked much about the day and Dagrun decided it was time to think out of the box. She used her ninja skills to track down a couple of the visitors who had been most interested in helping out, but apparently needed the extra push to actually do something. To hide her way of finding them she "accidental" ran into them on several occasions on the street and in the stores, to build up a relationship and get them to help her find ways to entertain the elders, while they also gave things back to the rest of the community.
