Female
5'6" - 170 cm
176 lbs - 80 kg
Born: Rustboro, Hoenn

Appearance
Mirella has a solid built, and added with her height of 170 cm (5'6"), she looks bigger than the average female. She weights around 80 kg (176 lbs), bones and muscle and fat and all without anything standing out as too much, though it seems to be her bone structure that gives her the solid feel. Her skin and hair is a dark brown, the hair giving off a reddish tint after exposure to sunlight. The hair is cut short, stopping a good inch or two above the shoulders, and looks rather windswept. Her eyes are light brown with specks of green in the irises, though this is only noticed when paying close attention. Her face os neither round nor square, but somewhere in the middle, with the nose being the most prominent feature, followed closely by somewhat heavy eyebrows. Her mouth is wide, showing all teeth when she smiles.
Mirella loves to put ornaments in the hair, preferable something low cost yet flashy like feathers or autumn leaves, she can find in nature. She owns one pair of earrings resembling cherry berries, that she only takes off when it's time to sleep. Her clothes is often loose fit, big and comfy in the colors of darker greens and reds. When out fishing she carries a cap and sunglasses with her as a precaution, though she rarely gets sunburned. Depending on the season and weather, she wears shorts and T-shirt or long sleeves and trousers, and she has a windbreaker and a winterjacket for the rough days.

Personality
Mirella doesn't socialize well. To her, three is a crowd, and she lets others talk, while she listens. It's not like she distrusts people though. She believes in what she is told to an almost naive extend, even when it should be obvious they are lying. She simply can't tell the difference, and therefore just decides to believe in everything. Alone, she easily drops her awkwardness, and she relaxes into a world of imagination, letting her mind wander, while she more often than not sits by the water, rod in hand. All in all there's just a quietness to her entire being, that makes fishing the most natural hobby in the world for her. If there is one thing, that disrupts her quiet nature, it is emotions. She is like a sponge, easily affected by emotional stuff and quick to react on evoked feelings like laughter and sadness. She is able to hold back the more negative sensations, but at some point they will pile up, making her erupt with frustrated anger. In line with her tender hold on emotions, she doesn't get why people get so agitated with winning games and Pokemon battles. She really doesn't care about the outcome when she is involved herself, and all the tension around victor and loser, she would rather just be without.
Amongst friends she settles into a role of quiet and thoughtful observation, providing comments only if she is completely comfortable with everyone present. With strangers she acts more like a piece of furniture, unable to think of what to say, thereby opting for silence. She enjoys silence, and can keep silent for days on end, if no one is around to make conversation. She is only really talkative one on one, in which case even strangers get a chance to know her and her interests, since she will happily tell anyone who will listen about her latest 'big adventure' out fishing.

History
Mirella was born a single child, no siblings to fight, but also no one her own age to play with. Without knowing it herself, she grew up lonely, and learned to entertain herself. What happened to her mother is unknown. Her father never talked about her. He wasn't one to talk much of anything, but he often took her out fishing in his passtime, and she quickly grew to love the hours spent by the sea. The most cherished gift she has received from her father is her Cherry Earrings and a fishing rod. She got the fishing rod when she was nine, and caught her first Pokemon for keepers at elleven. She could have gone on a journey then, like other youngsters, but it never crossed her mind. She had everything she wanted.
In school Mirella never quite got the hang of making friends, so she just was. She participated when forced to, but otherwise stayed in the background and learned whatever the school tried to teach the children. It was an uneventful time. When it was time to decide on a career, she still didn't know what she wanted with life, so she got out seeking jobs in Rustboro and the neighbour cities. She ended up getting a job in Petalburg Pokemart, where she was particular good at cataloging inventory and stocking up on goods. Any spare time she spent out by the sea, learning technique by other fishermen, and every now and then she took the trip back to Rustboro to pay a visit to her father, who had stayed behind.
Her life could have continued in much the same vein, if things hadn't started to pile up against her. She got a promotion at work, due to her continued loyalty through almost ten years, and her responsibilities grew. Her spare time dwindled, making her restless and frustrated with the situation. She didn't have anyone to talk to about it, as she had never grown close to anyone in Petalburg, and it got harder and harder to find time to visit her father. It didn't help matters that part of her new responsibility was to interact with customers. It drained her through the day, leaving her exhausted when she got off. The world turned grey for a while.
One day she snapped. Nothing had really seemed different from all the days before it, but to Mirella it was like waking up. She found herself sitting in the back of the store, going through mindless numbers, when she heard someone ask about a fishing rod. She looked up to see a customer holding a rod in his hand, looking at it like he considered buying. The Pokemart didn't sell fishing rods. Mirella got up, remembering she had taken hers with her that morning, with a halfbaked idea to go fishing in the afternoon. The rod was hers, worn from use and age. She had left it behind the counter, because there wasn't room in her locker. The clerk behind the desk looked edgy, but it could be no one but him, who had given the rod to be looked at. Mirella was too astounded, and didn't believe her own ears and eyes, when the customer bought the beat up rod for a song. When the customer had left, Mirella slammed a hand down in front of the unlucky clerk, that was the first in the Pokemart's history to ever experience Mirella furious. "That was my rod!" she yelled "Mine!"
Feeling tears threatening to spill, she fled the scene, and only called her boss to tell them she quit. Now jobless, and free for the first time in forever, she decided to take a good long vacation. She only needed to get some few things in order.

I am more familiar with thinking in family lines than specific Pokemon as favorites, but I’ve tried to focus on water types for Mirella’s dream pokemon, and though some is noted in their evolution I’ll always prefer to meet a Pokemon in their non-evolved form.
