Bill smiled that Dagrun would finally agreed to lunch with them, even if it was a small one. "No, no, I'm not wasting time with you. It's nice to have visitor once in a while. It would also be a good way to kill some time while Miltank is recovering from the medicine Nurse Joy gave her. Also, it wouldn't hurt for you to eat a light meal before resuming your journey, right?" Bill replied and then set up three trays of food for his Tauros, and then his wife's Roselia and Miltank. Well, for Miltank when the sick Pokemon got better. As Dagrun got curious about the pest, Bill gestured her toward their house as he explained. The smell of food becomes stronger as some of the scent escaped from the slightly opened windows. "The common pests have long ears, or big ears. They would either dig up the crops and messes with the crops' growing, or they will simply eat off the harvest. Some of the farmers I talked to seemed to have the same problem. They're gone now though, as they usually come to my farm once a week on a good week." He answered, his voice sounded concerned and worried. Then when he arrived at his own house, he opened the door and smiled, getting ready to eat a hearty meal and don't worry about the pest until afterwards. OOC: just letting you know you can't battle the pest pokemon yet in this quest.

Dagrun was surprised Bill had time to kill, wasn't farmers really busy with the plants and the farm pokemon all the time? Of course Dagrun didn't know much about such things, the one taking care of the livestock and the fields in her home village had been busy with "other" stuff as well. Everyone there had always been busy. She didn't have much experience with farm work, it was not a field she had specialized in pretending to be. With a defeated smile she accepted the light meal, which she expected both to be huge and take hours to get through, mostly because the farmers would keep her and not let her go without forcing her to be rude. She wanted to avoid that, she wasn't interested in starting out with a bad reputation and getting noticed by something like that.
She reluctantly had to confess to herself that she found Bill and his wife more nice than she had expected from their first meeting. They seemed kind and they were getting her respect by that they had understood their mistake and was willing to accept it and learn from it. Besides it was a good oportunity to learn a bit about the region and what was going on, perhaps they know some rumours she could use.
It smelled good, what came from the kitchen windows and Dagrun both felt spirited by the oportunity to a delicious homecooked meal and dishearted by the prospect of how long she would be stuck here. She turned her thoughts Bill's explanation of the pests and wondered what it was. From his vague expression she guessed it was bunearies or diggersby or something like that. If so it would be perhaps be a help to get a guard pokemon, like lillipup or something similar, that could chase the intruders away. She tried to suggest it to Bill as he entered the house but she wasn't sure if he heard her.
She hesitated a moment outside as she hadn't been invited and her old paranoia warned her about going into a unknown enclosure with few escape routes. She kicked herself mentally and followed Bill inside.

OOC: more like end this thread. You can pretend this is an end to this quest because there's not gonna be a lot of plot points here.
When the trainer confessed that she had thought the farmers were nicer than she thought, they both laughed loudly, as they found the comment funny. Bill's wife heard it through the open window, and her laughed came from inside the house too. After the laughter subsided, Bill heard Dagrun's comment on getting a guard Pokemon, but that wasn't something he had planned, as he and his wife have a total of three Pokemon, Miltank, Tauros, and Roselia. The three of those Pokemon take turns covering different area of the farm to drive out pests when the see the pests. Bill thought their own Pokemon might be enough, and didn't replied back to Dagrun.
When Dagrun would follow Bill into the house for a lunch, or a quick lunch for her(?), the three of them would have a hearty meal with various vegetables. Bill would talk about their life in Hoenn if they like, or about farming in this small town. He even talked about he and other farmers in this small town grow different crops, and they rotate different crops, as well as share some of their crops with each other. Before the meal was over, because there were quite a few dishes, a loud, healthy moo could be heard from Miltank, and Bill's wife excused herself to the barn to check her Pokemon. An hour probably had gone somewhat fast from eating and chatting. When she returned, if Dagrun was still here, she would inform everyone that the Miltank had gotten better. Whenever Dagrun would leave after the meal, either Bill or both he and his wife would thank the trainer again, and wish the trainer best of luck in her journey.

Dagrun was surprised when the farmer couple laughed, she hadn't been aware she had said it out loud, and she blushed a bit from embarrasment. She didn't think much about the lack of answer to her suggestion, partly because she was embarrased to have said too much and partly because it was their decission and not something she had anything to say about. She just hoped their way of handling this was better than the one of the miltank.
As she had expected the lunch was big and took quite some time, and she did her best to try get clues out of them, but it didn't sound like they got out much, talking mostly about their own life and the farm. Not something she could use to sniff out the teams there were macking a ruckus around here. The moo coming from the stable was a perfect excuse for Dagrun, she went with the wife to see the cow pokemon again, before she bid her farewell and continued her journey.
