Day four: Petalburg Woods It was the day after her visit to the Safari Zone and Mirella was standing on the edge of Petalburg woods trying to figure out, when she was going to Rustboro and visit her father. It wouldn't be today of course, since she was tired from yesterday, but she disliked that she kept putting it off. She was up early, since she kept forgetting she hadn't got a fishing rod anymore. Even when she didn't even plan on it, she still woke up early enough for a fishing trip. It gave her a lot of long days with too little to do, so just to do something, she went for a morning walk. She had let Caddis, Lily and Kaleo stay home, and the Shelmet too. She still didn't like that bug, and needed to find someone else to take care of it. For this light morning walk in the forest, she had brought her forever faithful Whiskas, and Fly, Aleksi, and the two other catches from the day before. She wanted to familiarize herself with the Karrablast before deciding what to do with her, and she needed to do the same for the Goomy. Due to the Goomy's resistance and longevity during the battle, she had gotten inspired to call her Tsering, which meant 'long life'. The word being a bit of a tongue breaker Mirella cut it down to 'Tse'ri' and liked how it almost sounded like cherry then. She kind of looked forward to not being on the receiving end of the Protect move. So Mirella walked and breathed in the morning air. She didn't count on anyone being up and about this early, so it came as a surprise to her when she heard voices somewhere on the path ahead. Normally she wouldn't interfere with strangers' business, but it sounded rather odd and not like a normal conversation between people. Mirella closed in on the situation, and was soon able to see them between the trees. There was what looked like an ordinary business man with suitcase and all, and then another person clad in something that could have been sailor clothes. Mirella looked between the two having some sort of argument, and got oddly annoyed. They had no business disturbing her morning walk. They shouldn't be here. So she squared her jaw and stepped up to them. "What's going on here?" She asked, and somehow still sounded neutral and more curious than actual annoyed. Wordcount: 409 (Ooc: Now I need the Aqua fellow to be clever, cunning and convincing in his/her argument, and maybe even the business man to be unpleasant to some degree. I would like to change Mirella's team around. Whiskas, Fly and Aleksi stay put in Alpha, and the Goomy and Karrablast join them along with the easter egg. On the Beta team I would like Caddis, Lily and Kaleo, so I can test that out.)

It was early morning in Petalburg Woods. Many trainers were still asleep, if not sleeping in or eating breakfast before moving to Petalburg Woods for whatever they're doing such as training bug Pokemon. However, the young fisher came across two people who were having an argument in the middle of the woods. "... This is really simple. If you hand over your papers then you wouldn't be late for your meeting. A win-win for both of us!" the Grunt smirked, trying to charm his way while giving the business man a hard time. "I said no, is a no! Don't you dare coming close!" He protested, while began walking backward as the Aqua grunt was relentless in chasing the man down to get those papers. The grunt was going to say something, but noticed Mirella lurking around and standing still, and decided to change his tone to maybe subtly persuade the woman into joining his ideology. "The world is born from water anyways! Not to mention, everyone needs water to survive! Having more water means the less we have to fight over the most basic resource next to air!""Unngh! Get off me!" This time the grunt was grabbing both the man's arm as he was trying to reach for his Pokeball. "What do you say, trainer? You can help me snatch those papers from this man and I'll give you a good recommendation to join Team Aqua, huh? We're a little bit aggressive on the side, but our efforts are for everyone's benefit!" The grunt grinned and looked at Mirella. And now, even the business man noticed the woman. Though seizing this opportunity, he shook off the grunt and quickly tossed out a Pokeball to defend himself. Out from the Pokeball was a round Pokemon. The Aqua grunt also sent out a Pokemon, a water type Pokemon, but it was quickly defeated by the electric type in a cloudy explosion. Now, Mirella have a few seconds to intervene before the man escapes and the Aqua's plan foiled. The Devon worker sent out a (Level 9) VOltorb! OOC: I hope this is okay :3

Day four: Petalburg Woods Mirella only got further confused, when none of the two argueing actually answered her question, not directly anyway. She understood the business man had some papers the sailor wanted, but any explanation seemed far in coming. "That's not really an answer. Whose papers is it, and what do you need them for?" she tried, hoping to get some facts straight before deciding if she wanted to interfere anymore. She had no such luck. Whether the business man were the bad guy or just too terrified to talk things out properly, he suddenly instigated a battle. Mirella wasn't entirely sure why, as the sailor didn't seem all that threatening to her. He only called forth a Pokemon to defend himself, and had until then only talked and been a bit grabby. Mirella flinched a step back, when the electric type made short work of the poor sailor's only defence. "Hey, that's not very nice," she determined and reached for her own Pokeballs. She was suddenly grateful she had just gotten herself some none water types, and she called forth Tse'ri to block the business man's escape, and the Karrablast to deal with his Voltorb. Admittedly she didn't know much about the Karrablast, but she had backup, and as long as she didn't tell it to use Peck against the electric type, they should be alright for a bit. "Now stay put, and let's talk about this like grown-ups." She demanded sternly, her arms crossed, while Karrablast tried to imitate her stance and leered at the Voltorb the same way Mirella stared at its trainer. Tse'ri had been let out a little down the path, and though Mirella hadn't said anything the quickwitted Goomy was ready to block the road with a Protect, if the human tried to run for it. Mirella looked at each of the men in turn. "You can tell me, what's so important about the papers." She told the worker first, and then looked at the sailor. "And you can tell me what Team Aqua is other than someone promoting more water on the planet." She really was intrigued, but she greatly disliked jumping onto things without knowing them first. She also disliked aggression, but more and more recently she had wanted to do something more proactive than usual. She wanted to make a difference. As long as they both behaved themselves, she would let the stand still be, but should the Voltorb and worker try to pull something, she was more than ready to let the Karrablast use Knock Off. Wordcount: 423

"That's not really an answer. Whose papers is it, and what do you need them for?"The Aqua grunt was taken back this reply, but the business man took this opportunity to get himself out of this trouble, as he was kind of blocked by a Goomy. "Those papers are mine! It's for the greater good of people! And Devon Corps. I can't tell you what they're for exactly, as it's part of the trade secret. If I tell you my discoveries than I won't be able to get a raise for leaking company secret." He talked as cheerfully as he could, but the tenseness of the battle two minutes ago were still shaking a little in his voice. On the other hand, the Aqua grunt was tired of this answer. "What's so big secret about it? Why do you have to hide your secrets? Aren't you scientists trying to help people? You have all these smarty knowledge but just make things for people to buy, that people end up not using years later and the trash ends up in the ocean. Then you're going to trying to sound helpful by contributing only small fraction of your wealth to save the planet, meanwhile still producing junks for people to buy that ends up in the ocean hurting Pokemon."
The businessman was rightfully angry about this comment, but some parts aren't off based either. "Well, the economy isn't going to keep itself stable if we don't make stuff. Alright, look, the papers is very important to human and Pokemon, that's all I can say."The grunt shook his head and directed his attention to the trainer. "Okay, miss, look at how selfish the 'innovators' are. They can't even make things less harmful to Pokemon. Do you know how many Wingulls every year swallow discarded junks like battery and hurt themselves? Or the sewage plants pumping toxic into the ocean and making Wailmer and Finneon sick, if not dead." Even though his Pokemon was out for the count, he was quite defensive of his position as an Aqua member, and not to mention prideful too. "Well, both of you can take your time and talk. Since your cute little Pokemon are blocking me, I'll just have to defeat you or I'll be late to my meeting. I could use your prize money to get myself a latte on my way in Rustboro, I guess. Voltorb, get ready!" The businessman was getting impatient once again. The electric type did something weird with the charges of its body, and Karrablast could feel her mind being a little blank, but she won't be using her mind to attack like a Psychic anyways. The bug shot a Leer at the Voltorb, making it winced from the thought of such unsanitary bug crawling on it. Then, the Karrablast Went forward for a Knock off, knocking the ball backward and rolled it a bit. Fortunately, it wasn't holding anything. Next, under the businessman's order, the electric type rolled forward for a Spark attack, and Karrablast chirped in pain.

Day four: Petalburg Woods It wasn't like Mirella had expected to get a clear answer out of the pair, but hope sprung eternal and she couldn't help but try. At least she got somewhat wiser on their personalities from their responses, so instead of trying to logic her way to a choice, she ended up deciding who she liked the best. The Devon worker, though rattled and nervous with a pitch in his voice, kept business like and a bit above it all, while the sailor, or Aqua-something, was passionate about his subject. The environment was something Mirella had spent a lot of her time recently thinking about, but where she had just thought, this Team Aqua group seemed to try to do something about it, even daring to challenge such big cooperations as Devon Corps. It was hard paying attention to all the words in their spiel, but she did try, and unconsciously began to nod in agreement with the Aqua guy's argument. She fully agreed that nature suffered by the hands of uncaring humans. Without thinking about it the Devon worker started to look like one of these uncaring people, who only cared for themselves and their money. He only cemented this fact, when he lost his patience and decided her money would be a nice supplement to his morning coffee. Mirella's face grew grim when he went for another attack. "I don't like your attitude. These Aqua guys sound like they have something important to share, and you're not even listening." she declared, and gave another attack in defense for Karrablast. "Knock off again." The Voltorb was strong though, and Karrablast didn't look like it would be able to withstand it all. With Tse'ri playing guard, and her two strongest Pokemon being water types, she had no choice but to let Aleksi have a go. She hadn't tried to have Aleksi fight yet, so she had no idea how strong the Pooch was or how willing she was to get rough. She only had the playtime she had spend with Aleksi as a guide, but that at least had been promising. The Pooch sure wasn't afraid of roughhousing. She made the change, and put effort into feeling and looking confident, like she knew what she was doing. No matter how this ended, she really had no other options at the moment. "Come then, Aleksi. Show the Voltorb your teeth. Poison Fang!"Wordcount: 400

"You're right, miss! Team Aqua would love to share the ocean for everybody if people would stop ruining it," He smirked, and that was all he said as the next rounds of battle unfolded. "You don't have to like my attitude as I don't like yours either. How do you think I get here today if I have to appease everyone? Voltorb, use Sonic Boom!" He defended himself, as his electric type got to work. The bug slammed onto the spinning ball again. Then, as the impact pushed the ball into spinning, the sphere added a little spark to create a sonic boom that hurt the bug. Thankfully, it barely survived for Mirella to switch Pokemon, to which the business man just thought she was delaying his meeting and then ordered his Pokemon for another Sonic Boom on the incoming Pokemon. "Drats, i'm going to be twenty minutes late now!" He mumbled loudly and angrily as the young pooch was out. The ball Pokemon shrugged, on the inside, and used eerie impulse as the pooch somehow was able to bit on it with her fang. Those young teeth somehow were able to contain poison that penetrated the shell of this electric ball. The attack was quite strong that the Voltorb passed out, eyes closed and rolled its body to a dead weight. After the battle was over, the Aqua grunt wasted no time to physically pin down the businessman, pressuring the man to hand over those papers, before he even had time to recall the Voltorb! The man tried to fight back, but he ended up groaning and defeated. He handed over a flash drive over to the Aqua grunt, and cursed the grunt that he'll drop it or something, or half joking that he might have grabbed the wrong USB. The grunt let the man gathered his thing and his Voltorb as he made the runaway. Not that there's a need to chase after him anymore, but the grunt stayed a little until the man was gone to spoke to Mirella. "Wow, you did great, miss! I don't usually meet people who would side with Team Aqua. This is my thanks for your help," he smiled as he handed over a TM disc and a bizarre looking device. "I gotta go hand this information to our scientist now. If you want to join Team Aqua, come meet us over five blocks behind the Pokemon Center in Rustboro City. We have a van there and just say you're the 'newspaper girl'. We're only there for a few hours though, we'll be gone before most everybody gets off for lunch break at noon." He said charmingly and then headed off away, heading toward the busy Rustboro City.

Day four: Petalburg Woods Mirella still felt like she was bluffing, when Aleksi dealt the final blow on the Voltorb, and won the battle. She was sure it had been a close call, as Aleksi had whined pitifully when the sound blast from the Voltorb hit her, and the Pooch had snarled menacing afterwards, while her teeth scratched against the round body of the electric type. It frightened Mirella a bit, but she told herself it was a good sign that the Poochyena wasn't easily scared off. She certainly seemed to have potential to become a strong defender for Mirella. Mirella just had to make sure, she never got scared of Aleksi herself, but most important didn't show it, if it happened. It wouldn't do if Aleksi started to think, she could take control. "Well done, Aleksi. Great work." she told the Pooch in a kind and calm voice, still maintaining an air of confidence in front of the Aqua guy and Devon Worker who was busy retreating. Aleksi was still growling some, but her ears peeked up at the sound of Mirella's voice, and she wagged her tail and ran up to be petted. Mirella bend down to meet her, and used the opportunity to check her over for injuries, while she let her hands run through the rough fur and mumbled praises like "Good girl". Aleksi did look worse for wear, and the Karrablast was probably even worse off. Mirella gnawed on her lip in worry, but just then the Aqua guy approached her, thanking her sincerely for the help. Mirella accepted the thanks and a bit surprised the generous gifts. Admittedly, she didn't know the weird thing, but she was sure he meant well by it. "You're welcome." was the only response she could give back. His next offer surprised her even more, but he was gone before she could utter a word of her thoughts. Not that she knew what to say anyway. Instead she was left to herself to ponder what to do. Mirella looked back at Aleksi. A few hours wasn't much time to decide, but Mirella didn't really want to lose the opportunity. She searched her bag for some medicin so Aleksi and the Karrablast wouldn't suffer longer than necessary. After the use of two potions, one for each, Mirella was satisfied with especially Aleksi's better looking health, and went on the her way. She was excited. Though she hadn't really planned to go to Rustboro today, she grabbed the chance. Maybe later she could even pay her father a surprise visit, but first she wanted to see how she could join Team Aqua. She hurried on towards the Rustboro, and bypassed the Pokecenter and the route she usual took to the father's house. Five blocks further into the city, she saw the mentioned van, and just only remembered to present herself as the Newspaper Girl. She suddenly felt nervous, and fidgeted as she waited for what would happen. Wordcount: 492

While Mirella was taking care of her Pokemon and debating a little about meeting up with Team Aqua, the grunt who ran off earlier, was sprinting really fast that he was panting a couple minutes ago when he arrived at the van to drop off the data. He met up with his partner grunt, who was more on the technology side than battling, and began uploading the file to the headquarter in Lilycove City. As he was drinking a bottle of water to cool down a bit, their bosses came on the screen to congratulate them on the good work, but he can't comment more until he had received the file and had the headquarter scientists analyze and interpret the date. The Aqua officer then chuckled at how hard working and breathing hard the grunt who battled earlier was. Then, before they shut off communication, the grunt hollered at his boss to stop and listened to his story of this girl helping out, and how she could be an asset to Team Aqua, and how she would have a few hours to find out if she would be joining. For operations like this, even revealing the van could be dangerous as they don't know if the person helping was an undercover force, but thankfully it would only be two people caught and it wasn't like Team Aqua (or Magma) had escaped captivity before. Anyways, as soon as the story was finished, the grunt saw the girl from rear view mirror, and halted the conversation to a stop, turning off the officer's screen but kept only the mic on, so it was like their screen was turned black. "Newspaper Girl", they heard. IN the passenger seat of the van, the grunt greeted the girl, "Hey, you made it! I didn't expect you to get here so quick! I'm surprised you showed up. We were just talking about you and your help. This is my partner for this mission. Just to make sure we don't sounds like we're kidnapping you, I will ask this before you would commit to this. You are about to join Team Aqua, and the things we do could get you in trouble. This is an invitation and you have the option to decline and walk away now. We don't care if you decide to report us to the authority, we have other Aqua's in the city to wipe that memory of us inviting you before you would make it to the authority. And if you say yes, we'll let you in the van and we'll talk." He spoke from the window. Although he was a charming and charismatic fellow earlier, now he was stern and making sure he conveyed the message across.

Day four: Petalburg Woods Mirella smiled involuntarily, when the guy from earlier greeted her with some surprise at her quick appearance. It was nice when people didn't call her slow. She looked in beside him at the presentation of his partner, and nodded in greeting, still unsure what to say. The charming fellow was acting all serious, and Mirella was trying to figure out how to act accordingly. On top of her nervousness, she felt a nagging insecurity, and her heart skipped a beat, when he mentioned how much trouble she could get into by joining them. She cast a glance around, though doing her best to be subtle about it, and swallowed one time. Then she hardened her resolve. He was still being honest with her, and wasn't afraid to tell her the harsher part of their organisation. She liked that he was so straightforward about it, and she still wanted to help more than she could on her own. "You are trying to help the environment and the wild Pokemon in the world, right? I want to be a part of it. I want to do more, than just collect trash from strangers every other week." She finally spoke up, and sealed her own faith, before she could chicken out. "Even if you decide I'm not up for it, I won't say anything about today. I helped you, and if that is construed as illegal, I'm already in trouble." As she said it, she realized the truth of it and forced herself not to look over her shoulder. At the time she might not have thought much of the consequences of her choice, and she hadn't really thought about what it would mean, but now she was standing here, she understood on another level that she might just have lost her 'innocence' today, and it would be tough water going back to normal. The Aqua guy sounded like he had actual experience with the illegal part of things, and other than wanting to help them, she might actually need their protection too, she realized. "I'm in." she stated just to make it completely clear, and waited for him to open the door of the van so they could talk for real. She felt a bit exposed standing with her back to the street. If she wasn't careful, she would grow paranoid in no time. First when she had gotten inside did she present herself. "My name is Mirella. What should I call you guys?"Wordcount: 412

The grunt listened to Mierlla carefully, making sure she wasn't a spy or anything like that. Then, when she finished, he smiled and unlocked the car, telling her to get in. Once she got inside the van, he tilted the backseat video screen so that she could see it, and then began formally introducing himself. "There's a number of us and it's not guaranteed that you'll see us again unless you have like perfect memory. When we're on duty, we'll be wearing our uniforms, because we'll have to let Hoenn knows what we're about. A lot of times we also work independently, but sometimes we do get a partner or two. You got that? When you're not on duty you're free to do whatever you want to do, though. Now, you can call me Kaeden." he replied, and his partner answered with a welcome and then a "Brett", but "Kaedan" noted that those are their nickname for this mission and they kind of change around the names occasionally.
Then, he began the brief orientation, which some points were already mentioned. Though he noted the importance of improving the condition for Pokemon as human civilization expands, and their plan to have more rainwater reaching area that don't usually get precipitation. "Some parts I've already told you earlier, but what I haven't told you was that we wanted the world to be sprinkled with more rain. Water is essential for life, and some parts of the Hoenn don't get enough rain as it is. Our enemies are primarily Team Magma, who seemed to be doing opposite thing that we wanted. There's also occasional officer intervention or some trainer trying to be a hero, but those people aren't much of a threat as Team Magma. If they achieve their goal first, our plan would be thwarted. Like right now there's only one of these papers you got from Devon Corp, if Magma got them first, we'll be in trouble."
He paused, letting 'Mirella" digest the information before beginning again, although the van seemed to be moving some time when Kaedan was introducing Mirella to Team Aqua. "Since you're a recruit, you would have your first mission to show your worth. We have been seeing some Team Magma activity by Mt. Chimney, and we'll like you to take out a grunt. We'll arrive Mt. Chimney in a bit, and we'll like to see you find that Magma and defeat them. Sending them running to Pokemon Center means there's less of them around this volcano. Also, what size clothes are you? We'll have a Pelipper drop it off to you later." He debriefed the first mission, and waited to see if the new recruit have answers as they have a couple minutes left to arrive the dormant volcano anyways.

Day four: Petalburg Woods Mirella had a hard time imagining an organisation so big, she wouldn't be able to recognise members she had already met before. It could of course complicate matters, that they changed their caller names around from time to time. It would make it quite difficult to call out to one she might recognise but didn't know which name they were going by at a point in time. It sure sounded like it could get confusing fast, but that seemed to be the point of it. Mirella repeated their given names dutifully, and tried to imprent their faces at the same time. "Are we to make up nicknames for missions ourselves? Or do we get names handed out along with missions?" she inquired, thinking to herself that if they had to make the names up themselves, she would have to think hard and probably make a list to take from at some point. The talk of a threat worse than law enforcement, made her quite nervous about this Team Magma, and she turned it over in her head a couple of times to calm her nerves. Kaeden didn't sound scared or anything, he sounded more like he was laying down some facts. Maybe the police wasn't so much a problem for them, because Aqua wasn't hardened criminals, but only just skirting the edge of illegal. And since Magma was their opposition, they could be a threat to their work and agenda, and would be more dedicated to get in their way than any policeman. Mirella decided that sounded more feasible. "Doesn't there exist any other writings about the problem than those papers from before? Like a book in the Library or something?" she asked partly to understand how many sources they had to work with, but also to see if she could study up on things herself. She hadn't really registrered that the van was moving, so busy had she been paying attention to Kaeden's words, and she didn't take much heed in the following silence either. First when he mentioned that they would be at Mt. Chimney shortly, did she register the movement and did a double take. It kind of figured it wouldn't be by her own force, when she ended up in another place than home. "You will take me back to Rustboro afterwards, right?" was her immediate concern. "I either use Large or X-large, depending on the clothes." she answered his question next. Suddenly it all felt a bit unreal. Was she really going to fight a random person just because they had another view than her? Apparently, she was. She would have to ask later what exactly Magma wanted other than stop Aqua from reaching their goal. Right now it seemed she had a job to do. Wordcount: 461

The grunt smiled, answering the questions about nicknames. "I'm sure we'll recognize you the more you take on those missions. We can recognize your face or your voice when we give you missions. If it's a solo mission you can make up your own. If it's a partnered mission, depending on how serious it would be, either you give a nickname before we start or we give you one in heat of moment, something like that." She was quite enthusiastic about this, which won't be a bad thing. He then chuckled at the library talk. "Haha, while some Aquas are a bit on the academic side, not all of them. It's up to you if you want to read up more, but these papers we just got would be the latest research to help us understand more about humans and Pokemon. I think those books in the library only talk about the science and the technology, but who's changing the people's behavior?""Back to Rustboro? Yeah, sure. I don't like these fire type up around here in Mt. Chimney anyways." He paused to check the time on one his devices. "You better get going so we can hide the van. We'll keep an eye so that once you defeat the grunt we'll pick you up for a quick getaway. The Magma should be leaving for break time soon..." He said, and then unlocked the car to let Mirella step off. For now, she'll have to battle without uniforms. When she got off, they wave "see you in a bit" and tuck their van somewhere hidden while keeping watch, to stay clear of the battlefield. A couple minutes later, soon enough, a Magma grunt was leaving from his post for a smoke and snack break. He was about to lit up his cigarette when he noticed Mirella there. "Hey, you shouldn't be here! Team Magma is doing something here and we advises you to stand back!" Following behind him was a jolly looking Koffing who seemed nonchalant.

Day four: Petalburg Woods That Kaeden seemed humoured by her questions was enough for Mirella, and she smiled pleasently. She thought she might do a bit of research into the subject later, but only to sate her own curiosity and get a bit understanding of what she would be helping with. It sounded like it could be a difficult edge the group was walking on, but surely they knew what they were doing, if they wanted to help the world. After being ensured she would be taken back to Rustboro afterwards, she did as told and got out at the designated spot to wait for the Magma guard. While she waited she thought nervously about how she wanted to behave. She had never imagined she would find herself in a situation like it, and the suddenness of it made her feel quite unprepared. She wandered in a restless circle in an effort to ground herself, and finally decided she didn't really have to behave different than normal just now. She wasn't in 'uniform' like the two Aqua guys, and the Magma fellow wasn't likely to recognize her as part of the group. She could just deal with him like a trainer. She had barely made the conclusion before a red-clad guy strolled out looking for a smoke. She wrinkled her nose at the bad habit before even getting the smell in her nose. She backed up a step, when he confronted her for her presence, donned a confused expression and asked: "Team Magma? What's your deal? I thought everyone was allowed to have a look at the volcano." As Mt. Chimney was a famed turist spot she saw nothing wrong with her statement, and was only really surprised with how easy she managed to sound. She eyed his Koffing, desperately trying to put a strategy together in the few moments she had, before he decided she was a nuisance. "Can you make reservations to go to the volcano?" she pretended to look behind him curious "Or are you just holding people back at your own whim?" She did nothing to hide that she was playing with a Pokeball, and a moment later Aleksi materialised in front of her with her hair standing on end all the way down her back to her tail. Mirella managed a challenging smile, at the same time thinking she wasn't at all acting like herself anyway, but more like a regular trainer looking for a fight. "If you won't let me pass, at least give me a battle." she challenged, almost confident. She kept the play going and was even prepared for him to accept it like any other trainer in good humour and with the proper battle etiquette, before she would order an attack. However, she was also on edge and ready should he not give proper warning. "Sand Attack, Aleksi!" was her first call, as soon as he responded. Aleksi acted on the tension in the air, and didn't stall her response to what was asked. Though Mirella had calmed her earlier and healed her nicely, she was still a bit edgy. It wasn't like she understood everything that had happened, but she did know the feeling of a threat to her and Mirella, and the new human now smelled of danger. She dug at the ground under her feet, whirling dust into the air, and followed it up by snapping her teeth together. If the bumpy balloon showed an opening she would try to put her teeth in it. When it seemed like forever, the Magma grunt finally showed up, and Mirella was a bit on edge to take on the opposite team. The grunt seemed a bit agitated with her, as he wasn't planning on dealing with a heroic trainer on his break. "Yeah, no. Not even tourists are allowed. We're doing something that for the safety of everyone, we'll prefer nobody going to Mt. Chimney right now." He replied, shaking his head at this human. He wasn't thinking to give her an explanation, but maybe just sounding like pretending to care about safety of others, innocent people, would seem decent enough. After all, Team Magma's goal was to expand land for benefits of human and technology. "Ugh, fine. If you want a battle, I won't go easy on you, though. You better count your reward for me early though," he grunted, and then proceeded to finish lighting up his cigarette. Then, he put the lighter back in his pocket and began actually smoking. "Koffing, let's see if this Poochyena is better than the ones in Team Magma. Start off with some Smoke Screen!" He smirked and watched the battle unfolded. The young pup did as she was told, and began kicking dirt in the air, that sent some dust in the Koffing's direction, making its sight faltered a bit. Then, the jolly Koffing grinned, and inhaled and then exhaled, and a thick, dark smoke came out of its round body, covering the field for a bit before the wind dispersed it. The pup could feel the smoke stinging her eyes a bit, finding it just a bit harder to see the poison type. When she tried to sank her teeth into the gassy ball, she misjudged the jumped and missed, making the move missed. Then, the Koffing just giggled and released another stream of annoying smoke.

Day four: Petalburg Woods Luckily, the magma fellow accepted her challenge with only a hint of annoyance. Mirella smiled good-natured like he did her a great favour, and she pretended she didn't care for his mention about a reward. She was going to win this, and would give her all too, but she found no need to mention it to him or her reason for doing so. She was just pretending to be a random trainer after all. But she could challenge his conception she figured. "Don't be so sure," she responded happily, and feeling a little childish "I'm no pushover." Aleksi was starting out well, but Mirella foresaw the smokescreen to be trouble and worried at the dark cloud from the Koffing, though she tried not to show it. "Try a few more Sand Attacks, Aleksi. Return the favour."Aleksi wasn't happy at the stinging smoke in her eyes. It had made her miss her target, and when her teeth didn't snap around her prey it made her frustrated and angry. With great vigor she followed Mirella's lead and startet digging for more dust to spread in the Koffing's face. However, her patience only stretched so far. After a couple of tries she went for another bite, trying to catch the Koffing off guard, or just catch it for once. Wordcount: 217
