While there wasn't much going on in the park besides volunteers and their Pokemon helping out, or some Pokemon slacking about and in the way, or some exercisers just jogging, or some couple strolling with their baby stroller, something seemed to be going on in the other side of the park from where Dagrun entered. A young girl was petting or feeding some horde of Rattata in a narrow alley next to some shops in the distance. She also looked like the girl who was giving the Dagrun ominous chills earlier with the warning about the old witch. Was it that girl? Did they even dress alike? However, her business with the rodent Pokemon was almost done, as she got up and said goodbye to them, and cheerfully skipped down the street.

Dagrun found the park rather boring, nothing interesting happened and she wasn't much interested in the plants when she didn't need them for hiding or shadowing someone. It was just an ordinary park and Dagrun was planning on going back to the Halloween celebrations even though she had not enjoyed it at all until now. At least something happened there.
Then suddenly she saw a familiar face, or so she thought at least. That looked like the girl that she was looking for, what was the odds? Dagrun was a bit suspicious due to what had happened during the day, so she didn't just run op to confront the girl. She was better trained than that. Now she really needed a well trained ninjateam, that could surround and take care of a target like this, without her having to worry about her own safety. "Warin, I'd like for you to get in the air and be ready to follow her, if she runs away. I'm not going to chase her around aimlessly once again," Dagrun said in a tone that didn't accept any contradiction.
When he was ready, she strolled over to the girl. "Hey, that was a lot of rattatas you got there," Dagrun greeted happily and watched her every move to see her reaction. Did she act like she was caught red-handed or showed any signs of knowing Dagrun?

Upon closer inspection, it looked like a decent number of Rattata was in this horde. The size was good enough to send anyone who don't like tiny mammal with visible teeth running and screaming in the other direction, if not frozen in fear. The girl had heard Dagrun's response, and glinted a smile with ease. Though she had taken a single second of pause before speaking confidently and gleefully, "Oh, those Rattata aren't mine. They're cute though! I don't know why other people are afraid of them!"A few seconds later, a shout could be heard from the shop that was nearest to that narrow alley where Dagrun thought she had saw the girl. A man was hollering at his Pokemon and sounded like he was panicking, fearing the next immediate future. "Glaceon, use Ice Shard over there! Oh, and to the left!" He had ordered his Pokemon. The ice type Pokemon stood coolly in front of the stop, blasting splinters of ice at all the approaching Rattata, but it looked like it might need a hand or two. It didn't take long for the store owner to switched his ordering moves to asking outsider help, whether it's another trainer or other shop owners. "Would somebody help me? I got a Rattata situation here!" He was asking for help at top of his lungs, looking around for help.
Optional stat-less battle. Please select one or two Pokemon and describe their attacks like you would in an anime, if you were to participate this battle.
OOC: ugh I lose my save twice because of the "drag file here" feature.

Dagrun had no problems with rattatas and due to it being so common in so many places it was often used as an infiltrator or something similar. The only risk Dagrun saw was if the girl should turn the rattatas against her or something similar, but she and her pokemon should still had a chance. If not to win, then at least to get away. Dagrun smiled at the girl's response and still tried to figure out if this was the same girl, and if she showed any signs of recognizing Dagrun. She didn't get to answer as a shout interrupted and things became confusing. Why was the rattata approaching the man? And was it the same group as the ones that was around the girl, or was it someone else? And did the man really have a shop hidden inside an alley? What a weird place. "Oh, we'll better help that poor man. I wonder what is happening," Dagrun said thoughtfully and was annoyed at this interruption at her talking to the girl. She wondered if there were a way for her to stop the rattatas without directly attacking them. The most effective way would surely be Fiera's magnetude but that was highly unpredictable and a big risk in the city, so she wasn't sure anything would be worth it. She made a plan and told her pokemon it, before she recalled Baldrian and sent him out in between the man and the rattatas. Baldrian used a lot of Growth to become big and threatening and he held out his flowery arms. "What is going on? Please do not attack and I we will not try to stop it," he told them calmly. The others stayed ready to charge and split the rattatas if necessary. "Hey, what's going on?" Called Dagrun to the man, while she still tried to keep an eye on the girl. (ooc: I'm unsure, those few seconds, does the girl disappear up in thin air in that time? It isn't stated, just that she "thought she had seen the girl", which sounds like she hasn't met her at all? And I tried to figure out, if it is the same one, and if she showed any signs of recognizing Dagrun, but you haven't reacted in that, so I'm not sure what to do there )

The girl was either the same girl or an apparition of the girl, but it wasn't like she was going to admit directly. While Dagrun was talking to the man, the girl used whatever opportunity that the ninja was distracted to slip away once more.
"I can't have these Rattatas here raiding my store, that's what's going on! Would your Pokemon help me and my Glaceon?" The man replied, looking concerned about the possibility of losing profit from having a bunch of Rattatas chewing and clawing his products. This won't be happening on his watch!
The Glaceon called and thanked the Roselia's help, and then fired off some more Ice Shards per the trainer's command. The horde of Rattata don't seemed bothered by the Roselia. Some of them were hit with the ice type attacks and fainted. (They're like, low levels.) Some of them slipped and fell and had a hard time balancing themselves.
OOC: I meant like she looked familiar but it could be just another girl who looked alike. trying to trick you lol

Dagrun could't decide if it was the same girl or not, but guessed it was when she had disappeared the moment Dagrun had got distracted for a short moment. She cursed under her breath and turned her attention to the rattatas. Baldrian was already trying to keeping them a bay, and Glaceon quickly took care of a few of them with an attack, while the rest continued to look hungry. They were probably starving, but that was not concerning her, that was life and life of a rattata was a tough one. Especially in the city. "Baldrian, Stun Spore!" She commanded a bit too cold for her own liking and she took a deep breath to get back into her role as happy and friendly trainer. "Of course! I'll do what I can," she called to the shopowner and sounded more unsure of herself. "Takara, I'd like for you to stay here, but try hit some of the rattatas with your signal beam. And Warin, can you use your Water Gun from the air?Perhaps if you make the ground really wet too, the ice pokemon can freeze it and make it even more slippery?" She suggested and her pokemon went to work. Natsumi poked her leg hopefully and Dagrun sighed. Of course the zigzagoon wanted something for helping out. "Don't you think he would be willing to give you a snack if we save his shop? If not then I have something or can buy you something, will you then please help out now?" Dagrun asked and couldn't help but sound a bit tired. It was more than enough for Natsumi, since she had now been promised something, she she rushed into the flock of rattatas to headbutt left and right.

Assuming you didn't count the same Rattata twice or more, but there were at least twenty Rattatas. The real question was, if it was thirty, forty, fifty or how many Rattatas right now. Baldrian's Stun Spore put a good number of them to paralysis, either slowing them down or making them unable to move. The ones unaffected by Stun Spore went on to close in on the shop owner and his Glaceon. Warin used Water Gun from the air, splashing the ground and the Rattata wet here and there. Eventually, some of the Glaceon's freezing power made some of the ground slippery, though water by itself sometimes made the ground slippery to some extent as well. Some of the Rattata slid and bumped into each other, or hit the wall or the ones paralyzed. This mess was starting to look better and comedic, even. Natsumi headbutted some of them left and right, and the young Trapinch's Signal Beam missed some of them, but the ones it did hit dazzled or distracted them a little. The Glaceon also helped out and Ice Shard some more Rattatas. While this was a complicated mess of a battle, in the end, a lot of the Rattatas fainted, or temporarily knocked out. The owner shouted angrily at the rodent for messing with his shop, and tell them to never come back again. A couple seconds later, the Rattata started to twitch, but they clicked their teeth in peace to let the Glaceon know that they accept defeat, and went on their way back to the alley. The man was joyous and hollered at Dagrun, "Hey Ma'am! Thank you very much for your help! I'll give your Pokemon some treats for helping. Thank goodness they didn't tear my business down!"As Dagrun would come closer, he realized he forget to warn her about the ice. If her ninja training reflexes were still up to par, she would just have a little workout to get through; otherwise, she too might bump into something like the Ratttas!
Takara and Natsumi gained 1 level for helping out! Takara wants to learn Sand Tomb, delete a move? Takara, Natsumi, Warin, and Baldrian gained 5 happiness for having a great time eating. OOC: the "prank" was whether or not you want to RP your character slipping and falling on the floor or some type of bumping into things.

Dagrun didn't like the number of rattatas there were harassing the man, even with the help of her pokemon, they were vastly outnumbered. Hopefully they weren't too strong, or else this could end badly. She was impressed with how well her pokemon were doing in this confusing battle, and while they slipped once in a while and missed with their attacks, they did not hit each other and that was an impressive feat in itself. Just as sudden as the battle had started it was over, and the rattatas withdrew back into the alley they had come from. Dagrun waved cheerfully to the man, when he thanked her and she went over. She had not forgot about the ice herself, but one thing was to know it was slippery, another was to stay on your feet. As she felt her foot disappear under her, she was about to use her ninja skills to avoid falling and regain her balance, but she hesitated a split second as it would risk revealing herself. That mysterious girl was still around somewhere. The result was that she only managed to slow her fall a bit so she didn't got hurt as much as she could have, but she still fell nonetheless. Baldrian hurried to her side, but she just laughed and brush off his worries. "That will be appreciated, right Natsumi?" Answered Dagrun and blinked at her zigzagoon, who looked really excited. "Thank you for your offer and you're welcome, that's the least I could do," reassured Dagrun the man with a smile. "Do you know anything about that girl who was with the rattatas earlier by the way?" She asked him innocently, without expecting him to be able to give her any answers. (ooc: I assume this is the end to this fun thread? I'm a bit unsure about the move though, what gen are we going with? It can't be right that Takara is offered Sand Tomb, when she was just offered bulldoze in the travel thread. That is only possible if they are taken from two different gen's movepools)

The man looked outside the store to see if the girl was still around, but had a puzzled look for a second. "Oh um... I just thought she look oddly familiar to one of the book when I was growing up. Even recent editions and tales about this girl looked very similar to her. Something about a witch from long time ago... in Hoenn? This is just an urban legend right? Or myth or folklore, whatever you call it? The legend is older than Pokemon Center, Devon Corps, this Team Aqua and Team Magma weird mess. It was back when Pokemon lived along side humans."
As the man was reorganizing his store after the failed Rattata raid, the setting sun shone a golden ray through his store, and he was glinting his eyes a few times trying to see. He picked out some small bags of snacks that he thought would be appropriate, based on Dagrun's Pokemon that he saw. "I have these snacks for your Pokemon! Thanks again for all your help!"

Dagrun listened curiously to the man and clearly expected him to tell what that legend was, she had heard plenty, but didn't remember anyone where this girl could fit into it. She didn't really believe in stuff like that, but she liked the stories and the chills they could give her. "What legend? Nothing springs to my mind, but you have really made me curious when you say it is so old," she asked curiously although she changed subject before he got a chance to answer her. "What mess are you talking about those teams are doing?" she continued and looked quite worried. She was a new and innocent trainer in this region, and it would be good to know then, if there was something amiss, that you need to be wary off.
When the man was done answering her and had thanked her once again, and given her snacks for the pokemon, she said her goodbyes to him. She went past the place where the girl had been to look for any clues about her, and if she found nothing, she would return to the main streets and pretend to participate and enjoy the festivities.
(ooc: Oh, I thought the last prank was to slip or not, hehe. Well, you at least "pranked" me there;) )

"Long time ago in Hoenn, when people believes in magic and stuff, there was a family of witches living in the woods. A young girl had lost her parents at a young age, in front of her. Before her mother had passed away, she enchanted the ring to protect the little girl from harm. She became lonely and afraid of other humans. However, she befriends and helps Pokemon who lives in the forest, fighting back against humans who were trying to cause harms to the forest and Pokemon living in the forest. Well, that's what the legend says anyways, there's some variations on the story," the man retold the story, taking a sip of drink occasionally, as he was trying to remember.
"The mess? They're basically eco-terrorist. Team Aqua was always harping about protecting the sea, rounding up ocean trash and putting them elsewhere. Then you also have Team Magma, trying to expand the land or something. They were making landfills, trying to build bridges, and trying to butt into technologies into people's lives, who are okay not living with technology. Team Aqua would be fighting Team Magma over building bridges or relocating trash and other things, that just get in people's way of living their day to day lives. Most people honestly don't care, but maybe they have a point if they're less extreme," the man explained, trying to recollect what the heck those two teams were on about.
When Dagrun was back in main city streets where a festival was being held, she walked through a pedestrian road with a lot of trees in between. Out of nowhere, a man was shouting at his Pokemon, and some other Pokemon, "Hey, that's my girlfriend's cupcake, get back here, you Murkrow! Scraggy, use Headbutt!" The fighting Pokemon, probably more experienced and trained well, ran fast and slammed into the tree just as the secret ninja was walking by it. The impact of the headbutt shook the tree's leaves, and the Murkrow carrying the cupcake dropped the dessert, and flew away, shocked. The Scraggy managed to also catch the cupcake before it lands on the ground. If Dagrun wasn't careful, she might have found herself covered with leaves from the tree being shook earlier!
OOC: that was last prank, thread can end any time you want

It was a fun story the man could tell her, and it fit a bit too well with the weird girl she had met, so she couldn't help but look a bit suspiciously at him, to figure out if he was behind it all or something. She guessed it was a coincidence, his story and the weird happenings she had experienced today, and if not, it was something the town had running to entertain and keep the legend alive. Some people liked that, although Dagrun didn't understand why. Dagrun found his explanation of Team Aqua and Team Magma weird, she did not expect people to see the two gangs as someone who did good for the region while butting heads. It sounded like a very light version of what she had got described during her briefing, but they probably kept their cards close to them.
Dagrun jumped when the scraggy slammed into the tree beside her, and she covered as leaves danced all around her, in the expectation of something heavier falling out and landing on her head as well. Nothing came though, as the cake landed on the ground, and Dagrun brushed the leaves off her body. She looked annoyed at the scraggy and glared at the fleeing murkrow. They were really a nuisance those stealing black birds. "Alright, enough is enough, this isn't fun anymore," said Dagrun and her pokemon looked a bit disappointed. "I have been choked a bit too many times today, hopefully next year is more quiet," added she quickly to pretend like she didn't found all this Halloween stuff a waste of time. She bought her pokemon a few treats on the way back though, and enjoyed a quiet evening in her own room.
(ooc: chooses to end the thread here then. Thanks for the fun ride!)
