Winterbirds (Rustboro City) Mirella stomped her feet to keep warm in the cold. She was clothed well enough, warm enough for the freezing temperatures, but standing still wasn't good for anything in the frosty day, where her breathe fogged out of her mouth in white puffs of smoke. Mirella found the cold of the season discomforting, but she loved the silences following the snow around, enjoyed the glittering world it brought along, and could spend many an hour just walking around in the town and forest. Last year she had been too busy for any of that, and the winter itself had been a boring grey affair with little to no days of frost and cold. Mirella planned to make the most of it this year, both her spare time and the arrival of snow. She was waiting for her father. She was on visit for the week, truly enjoying getting some family time in the schedule again, but today her father was less than enthused about taking a walk. He hadn't shown his face in the door yet, and she had been waiting for several minutes already. "Are you coming?" she called, and a minute later her father peeked out. "I'm sorry, dear. Something came up. Can you manage yourself for today?" he asked, his eyes flickering a bit. Mirella frowned, but nodded nonetheless. It wasn't like her father to keep secrets. He usually told her what the matter was about before excusing himself, but it was the secret time of year, and Mirella decided to let it slide. "Sure," she said, and gave him a wave before turning down the road. She set course for the forest today, as people were getting more pronounced in the streets, and they spoiled the silence a little more than Mirella cared for. Out under a clear sky Mirella let Aleksi and the Sneasel Kali out of their balls. The Poochyena absolutely adored the snow, and the Sneasel was born for this weather. Both were in their own way padded for the cold. She had Whiskas and Kaleo along too for company if they happened upon some unfrozen water, but for now she kept them safe in their pokeballs. Aleksi attacked the first snowdrift in sight, while Kali spend a moment sharpening her claws. Mirella looked to the sky, catching the sight of red birds crossing the blue expanse. Wordcount: 394

OOC: summer event is under Event so that's separate
IC: Snow on the ground, temperatures dropping, these were characteristics of another wintery time in Hoenn region. The wind seemed to be blowing occasionally at a low speed, but not enough to make the weather considered harsh. As Mirella's Pokemon were frolicking in the snow, she noticed a flock of red (and white) feathered Pokemon flapping in the sky. The Pokemon was quite a rare sight to see in Hoenn, but they're not completely legendary or foreign. Their tails were born to carried small things inside, and what could they be carrying? From the human's point of view, they were quite up high in the sky.
A sudden wind picked up in the altitude those birds were flying. Most of the avians were able to pushed through the wind like it was nothing. A younger bird, hoever, was struggling and lagging behind. It seemed to be lagging behind every second, as well as slowly descended, as it might not be strong enough for the wind. Several seconds later, it fell down and released its tail, releasing its content scattered throughout the forest! Oh no! The bird also went straight down toward the snow cushion.

Winterbirds (Rustboro City) Mirella wasn't that familiar with the red and white birds. She knew they were called Delibirds, and they were often seen in this season but never long enough for any trainer to catch them, or maybe trainers just had an aversion against catching the christmas birds when that season came around. It would be a bit like trying to put Santa Claus in jail for entering people's houses at night. Mirella followed the flight of the birds with her eyes. It was an impressive sight when birds of any kind flew in formation. Because she was looking she saw the one falling behind. That was rather unusual. Sure, there were sometimes holes in the flying formations, but that one kept getting bigger, and Mirella thought it was getting bigger too, or rather getting closer. A bit worried she followed the one Delibird's decline, trying to pick out, where it would land. The way it was fighting in the air it looked to be crashing any moment. Aleksi barked at her, trying to get her attention, and for just a moment Mirella looked away from the falling bird. "Sorry, friend. A Delibird is crashing." she told Aleksi, which got Kali's attention. All three looked in the direction Mirella had looked before. Mirella set in motion, Kali and Aleksi close behind. She just wanted to check real quick, that the Delibird hadn't been hurt badly. Wordcount: 233

When Mirella had found the Delibird, it looked like it had hit something in the head. The young bird touched its head in pain for a good several seconds, and then looked otherwise fine as the pain faded away. However, it looked around at its snowy surrounding, and was terrified. There were mails scattered across the area, and who knew how many more it had lost from the fall and crash!
The Delibird frantically picked up a white envelope that was sitting on a small fence, and then picked up another plain looking envelope almost hidden in the snow, save for the colorful stamp, with a picture of a Pokemon in santa costume. Then, it frantically dug around the snow, kicking with its feet to see if there were more snow.
