All of Mirella's body stiffened in anticipation, when the two giant Pokemon made preparations for another collision. It was almost like when she felt the first small jerk in her fishing rod, and preparing herself for the fight for getting the fish landed. She bend down to be on eye level with Whiskas and Aleksi, and on the agents shout she signalled for them to set off. Aleksi really hadn't needed the prompting. She was running straight into the field as the smoke blew out, and Mirella bit her lip nervously as she waited for the result. As soon as the smoke surrounded them, Aleksi felt blind. Whiskas however, didn't share the problem and easily 'saw' their surroundings by sensing it with his whiskers. He told her where to stop and let him go, so they had the best spot to throw distractions after the big electric type. It was a new thing for Aleksi to feel reliant on another that way, but they didn't have time for her to question Whiskas' expertise, so she just aimed her Sand Attack the way he told her. She did sense something big in that direction, so that was something at least. Whiskas used a precious moment to wet the ground, so he would have some mud to throw. They both did their best to aim high, and was ready to bolt away at a moments notice. If Aleksi felt it necessary she would grab for Whiskas again and carry him out of there as fast as her legs could move. (Wordcount: 258)

The two giant Pokemon didn't take long to unleash their electrical and fire attacks. The attacks clashed and, as the agent predicted, created a temporary stream of smoke. The Flygon hollered at the Moltres to stop for a bit, as the ground and dragon type started flying to stand between the two. As the grey smoke was disappearing from the field, the two smaller Pokemon took the opportunity to distract the electric type. The Poochyena barked a few times, while the Barboach kicked the mud around the ground to create some annoying noise.
The alien not only moved its eyes, it looked like its body was approaching the other two Pokemon, and got another attack readied. Thankfully, the Flygon shouted a loud "It's your chance to run now!" at the two Pokemon, and skidded to a halt to absorb the full electrical attack. The dragon type turned its head around, to make sure the two Pokemon were getting out of the way. Now, the plan to switched in for Moltres had worked.
The agent's hands almost clapped, but he just quietly held them together instead. He pointed at Mirella's Pokemon that were hopefully returning and not idling in the middle of the field. Then he changed his hand motions to an okay sign. It looked like he didn't want to be talkative on this critical moment.
The fire type legendary Pokemon cawed, and chirped, asking the dragon Pokemon what happened. It simply replied in its Pokemon speech, "I'll take care of this thing." The Moltres seemed to made a gargling noise like it was grumbling, but it curiously landed on the ground, and folded its wings, observing what's about to happen.
The agent seemed to be talking to someone again as he touched his ears, and shifted his coat like there was a microphone there. "Switch in successful." He said, but in a very unexcited voice.

Aleksi and Whiskas responded while the Flygon was warning them to run. The sight of the big Pokemon aiming for them was unnerving enough for Aleksi to grab Whiskas without any prompting and running for it as fast as the extra burden allowed. The air sizzled with energy behind her, and she could feel her fur bristling from the electricity, but luckily someone else took the brunt of it all. She only skidded to a stop when she reached Mirella again, and hid panting behind her after letting Whiskas go. She didn't hear a word Mirella was mumbling, while she stared out at the greater Pokemon for what would happen next. Mirella let her hands run quickly over Aleksi's fur to check for injury, and then did the same for Whiskas, though it was easier to see on him, as he didn't have concealing fur on him. Satisfied with the investigation, she recalled Whiskas in case they had to get out of there fast. She looked up just in time to see the agent make a movement with his coat and ear, hearing his words. Aleksi seemed very agitated and Mirella continued to stroke her fur while mumbling words of reassurance, but mainly her focus was on the agent, in case he had new orders. She waited an agonising beat, then asked: "Should we stay put, or move away now?" She didn't want to draw the beast's focus on to them by moving unnecessary, but on the other hand she didn't want to be in the way either. (Wordcount: 258)

"It's up to you. We're almost done though. You can hide behind a tree or bush, if the battle of these two big sized Pokemon scares you," the agent replied, offering Mirella freedom to choose what she wanted.
He pulled some sci-fi looking glasses from his coat to assess the situation. Then, he folded his arms while observing the status, as if he was thinking. "Hmm.. Flygon, give that Xurkitree a Rock Slide!" He ordered.
The dragon type Pokemon went to work. Seeing that there were no boulders nearby to toss, Flygon conjured a white orb in the air, and from which it fired a volley of rocks that came crashing toward the Xurkitree. A few seconds later, the alien blasted them away with its electricity. Flygon wagged its tail in some way to communicate to the agent, that it was ready for order again.
The Agent then grabbed a special, unique looking Pokeball and tossed it into the Xurkitree's direction.

Mirella squinted as she caught the words of the agent, and glanced at the ongoing battle. Did it scare her? She didn't want to admit, that maybe it did, though with her lack of battle experience she shouldn't be ashamed by it. She wrinkled her nose in annoyance. She had always been a bit helpless in these situations no matter the strength of the opponents, and she sorely wanted to change it now. However, until she got a lot more experience under her belt, she would just have to run scared... Mirella stepped back two steps, pushing Aleksi protective behind her, and giving the agent a little more space, but she stopped before reaching the closest tree. The Xurkitree was plenty occupied with the Flygon and didn't look to have any attention left to spare for her and the Pokemon that had interrupted its battle mere moments ago. She should be safe enough with the agent, and therefore she stayed to watch the tail end of the fight. It was better to know how it ended. Mirella waited with baited breath, as the odd looking ball sailed through the air, and behind her Aleksi snarled silently at the giant, still agitated and ready to fight or flee. The Poochyena would only relax a smidge, when or if the Pokeball showed succesful. Mirella had calmed enough by her own thoughts, that the relief with a captured Xurkitree only showed as the most relaxed smile yet today, before she remembered there still was a legendary fire bird to worry about, and she would cast a quick glance its' way to see what it would do. Was there any hope this insistent heat would subside with the threat taken care of? (Wordcount: 288)

The strange blue device hummed as it flew through the air. It sucked the Xurkitree into its capacity, like normal Pokeball would. Then, the sphere dropped to the ground and wobbled, giving the same nervousness as any trainer would.
Silence as the sphere rolled one way.
Not even the Moltres cawed or chirped.
The sphere rolled the other way.
It made a DING sound that would be similar to a normal Pokeball, just off by a tune. The agent's flygon growled happily, and then flew over to pick up the sphere. It returned with the new capture, and handed it to the agent. The Moltres wasn't like flying away immediately either. It turned its head, and then feet, to observe the Flygon and its trainer. The legendary Pokemon had seen a number of Pokemon captured in its lifetime, but this device and this creature was too strange that it piqued its curiosity.
The agent picked up its mic again and spoke to somebody, "Reporting Ultra Beast Xurkitree captured. Mission complete."

Mirella slowly let out air, while the agent's Flygon picked up the strange ball. She watched in silence for a moment, waiting for what would happen now, her heart still pounding rapidly on adrenaline. She could feel a vibration through her leg from Aleksi, who despite having relaxed slightly still rumbled low in her chest. Mirella forced another slow breathe through her lunges, waited for the Agent to say his piece in his communication device, and then approached him again with half an eye on the legendary bird. "Is it really over now? Will the heat go away?" She shot the bird a longer look at the question, realising the Agent might not have any say in that particular matter. For now it seemed docile, but she had no idea how to behave around such a great creature now it wasn't fighting anymore. Aleksi seemed to catch on to her uncertainty and circled her legs twice, before settling on staring out at Moltres rather rudely, but at least she wasn't rumbling anymore. Only when the Agent had assured her things were in order, would she turn to leave the way she had come. Maybe she could find the ranger and the Pokemon needing help again. If the effect of the Moltres disappeared, her water Pokemon might even provide a better help now. (Wordcount: 222)

"Yup. It seemed like the Moltres was just defending or helping the other Pokemon from being targeted, but it accidentally made the area hotter than usual. Give it a couple minutes and it would probably start cooling down to normal summer temperature." The agent replied nonchalantly.
He then turned toward Mirella and thanked her and her Pokemon for their help.
"It looked like it's time for us to go on our own way. I will be waiting for pick up in this area from my helicopter ride. You're free to go back to where you came from." He added, solemnly.
The Moltres and Flygon cordially cawed and growled a good minute. Then, the Moltres flapped its wings and took off, displaying its majestic yellow and red feathers in the air once more. Soon, it disappeared to wherever it came from. Had MIrella stayed longer, she would just see the helicopter arrive to pick up the agent. Had she not stayed, on her way back to whatever city, she would see a helicopter flying up high briefly.

The Agent's word sounded reasonable, and Mirella found herself nodding in understanding. She stayed long enough to watch the interaction of Moltres and Flygon, somehow not feeling right about leaving before the legendary bird had flown off. Afterwards she gave a farewell to the agent, and then hurried away from there. She didn't feel comfortable about staying long enough to see him getting picked up. She didn't want to be a known face in any officiel organisation with the recent acquaintance she had made with Team Aqua. She backtracked her own steps with good help from Aleksi, that could sniff out her scent in the underbrush. The slow drop in temperature was a relief along the way, and she only looked up once at the sound of a helicopter. END (Wordcount: 129)
