The Misdreavus was a newborn, and therefore, without the guidance of a trainer or experiences in the wilderness, the ghost wouldn't know how to best reach its potential. Its only method of defense right now, for example, was making noises and blasting some weak energy beam at the opponent. Being a newborn, and fresh into the world, the ghost was surprised by the trainer being continuously sucked into the capture device. Again and again. It fought a few times, as even though it was weakened for a fight against Baldrian, it could still pulled some strings to avoid capture. Unfortunately, the attacks were all for nothing as a final DING! signaled that it would now be trained by this human. During the struggle, all it did was blasting the weak psybeam once more and then made some more noise, which the grass type seemed to be used to the attacks. With nothing else in the ghost type's disposal, the grass type happily waited for his trainer to throw some Pokeballs at it. Sure, it was a nice sunny day to sit and do almost nothing.

Baldrian and Natsumi watche din disbelief as Dagrun looped Pokeball after pokeball at the ghost. Why did she try to catch it instead of letting them handle it and chase it away? What did she want with it now she clearly was scared of it? Did she want to try use it to work on a fobia or something? The misdreavus fought bravely and Dagrun begun to fear she hadn't broguth enought pokeballs with her, but also got determinded she did want to capture this pokemon. She would have to do the explanations to her day team afterwards, she didn't have to look at them for long to know they found her behavior odd. Third times the charm and finally the ghost stayed inside the pokeball. Dagrun sighed with relief. "Well Done Baldrian, now it can't attack anyone else," Dagrun said and shuddered like she feared what would have happened then. She warily went to pick up the pokeball. "It can't seep out thorugh, right?" She asked nervously and Baldrian and Natsumi glanced at each other. It sounded like they had gotten them a trainer who was afraid of ghosts. "I'll better deliver this one back and find someone who can take care of it, come on." She said as she wrapped the pokeball in cloth and lead her two pokemon back to the town. She left the ghost in the pc, pleased she managed to get it and went outside again. She chose the opposite direction when she went out of town this time, that way there was no ghost for sure, right? She headed towards Petalburg Woods, who knows what she could meet of interesting things in that area? (ooc: Natsumi forgets Growl for Sand Attack. Going towards Petalburg Woods since you said I still had a chance to try running into a Phantump.) With the noisy ghost captured, Dagrun was hoping that the floating Pokemon won't come out, which it shouldn't. Otherwise, she would need to file for a refund ot return from the Pokeball manufacturer. Then, she went opposite direction, heading toward Petalbug Woods instead. Hoping to see something new and interesting in the forest, she would have to wait and find out!... After walking in the forest for not too long, she stumbled upon... another Zigzagoon? These Pokemon are quite common around Rustboro City! Thankfully they don't hunt or live in pack because that would be a fuzzy sight with so many brown and white zigzag patterns, a headache would ensue. Anyways, this Zigzagoon was chasing off another Zigzagoon over something they were arguing, but the other one seemed to be a faster runner, as this one seemed to lost sight of the other one. Where could it go? Walking slowly and confused, the Zigagoon figured the other one would show up sooner or later to resume the fight, but first, it bumped into a human. Huh?
A (Level 4) Zigzagoon appeared! It has egg move Sleep Talk. OOC: thread had been moved to Petalburg Woods um, Growl's there.

It was a nice and calm day it seemed and Dagrun was officially happy with her choice of direction and there were no ghosts in sight. A part of her rather wanted to explaore the city but now she had played to want to get as far away from the ghost as possible, beside she hoped to meet other types of pokemon than the ones you saw all over the place. Perhaps she would be lucky... She wasn't. The first thing she met as she stepped outside of the town was yet another zigzagoon, or twice to be more exact. She didn't need that pokemon though they could be useful as ninjas, she wasn't out to try find more members for her village or her own team either actually. One of the zigzagoons were long gone when the second noticed it had lost track of it and then looked dumbfounded at Dagrun. "Shoo! It went that way," Dagrun said to it and wved a hand at it, in a kind non-aggressive way of trying to get it to move away. No need to waste time batlting it, what would she get from that? She wasn't interested in trying to capture it, not with the look in its eye, it was enough that she was stuck with the slow numel. Baldrian took a few steps forward to make sure the stranger zigzagoon would attack him instead if his trainer, should it be aggressive. Natsumi stayed by Dagruns side but called out to its fellow, "Hi! We're just passing through, you friend ran that way over there.""Don't encourage it to stay or something worse!" Dagrun shushed Natsumi nervously and the zigzagoon sighed. (ooc: hmm, looks like I need new glasses then If the wild zigzagoon attacks, Baldrian takes it and doesn't really do anything in retaliation.)

Not interested in the Zigzagoon that appeared, the ninja kindly told the wild Zigzagoon to go to a different direction instead, where she saw another Zigzagoon running around. Looking at the human, the Zigzagoon who bumped into the human growled happily as a thank you, and then sort of waved the budew good bye, and carried on his way, running in zigzag pattern to find his mate. In a quick couple of seconds, the Zigzagoon was gone as fast as it had appeared. Continuing their path in the small forest, they heard a loud chirping nearby as the noise of that chirp don't seem to go away. When they would have stopped, a Taillow swooped out of the concealment of the forest and appeared itself, as it was flying in parallel behind the trees and chaotic arrangement of leaves. The bird stood in the middle of the route and chirped, greeting Dagrun. Would the trainer be interested in entertaining such a fowl?

Dagrun was relieved when the zigzagoon ran its way again. It had seen a bit stupid and she hadn't been interested in a battle right there and now, she hoped to find something new and interesting, something useful or special. The peace and quiet didn't last for long though as a chirping was soon heard and they all watched the taillow as it came swooping down in between the trees. It didn't look particularly aggressive though, Dagrun found it looked more bored and perhaps a little bit hopeful? It didn't take her long to guess what it wanted and it fitted well with what Dagrun would happen to do.
She smiled down to the bird. "Do you want a friendly match?" She asked it kindly, "you know, one where the outcome wont force you or anyone else into something." If it agreed, she would ask Baldrian to step forward. Dagrun's two pokemon looked doubtfully at her, didn't she know about their typing? Baldrian went forward anyway though and hoped it was going to be a friendly match or else he was in for a lot of pain. "Baldrian, use Water sport!" Dagrun cheerfully ordered, much to her pokemon's shock. Natsumi stared dumbfounded at her while the budew spread water into the air, not understanding what their trainer was up to. "Good! Now come back and Natsumi, get in there and use a Tackle," Dagrun ordered happily, clearly believing she had the hang of it and was doing something really clever. Natsumi didn't need to be told that twice and she leapt in to save Baldrian.
"Well done! Now you have weakened its attack, it will be no problem for Natsumi to take care of the rest," Dagrun praised Baldrian as he returned to her, and was humoured by his defeated expression. It was good her pokemon thought her to be a beginner who was just learning, it would make everyone else think so as well and especially the budew seemed caring enough for it to make him more motivated to help her.
(ooc: Baldrian in and using Water Sport! Natsumi switches with him and goes for a tackle, IF the Tailow accepts a friendly match or a battle in general.)

Figured that the Taillow was probably bored in the forest for something new, Dagrun accepted the Taillow's invitation to have a fun battle. Sending out her Budew, the grass type used the tip of his head and sprouted water everywhere, making every surface wet, and therefore reducing the power of fire attacks. Not sure what the human was doing with such a watery attack when the grass type looked more like he would be receiving the fire instead, and the Taillow's looking nowhere flammable, the avian cooed loudly as its body glowed red, as if charging some kind of energy. Then, the Budew was switched to a Zigzagoon, and the Taillow just growled loudly, while also chuckling at the sight of another Zigzagoon, this time under a human's training. Surely, this would be an entertaining battle. Natsumi thought the Taillow was mocking her, and she charged as instructed. The young bird tumbled a bit backward, and cawed hilariously like the Zigzagoon was being funny, and this was the most hilarious thing today battling with the human.

Dagrun looked curiously at the taillow as it glowed a bit and then somehow made a sound that was quite similar to a growling, but that wasn't possible for a bird, was it? "Funny, it almost sounded like it growled," Dagrun said with a chuckle and smiled wider when Baldrian looked hopelessly at her, not knowing how he should tell her, the taillow had indeed growled. Hulda (and Dagrun) of course knew this, but she continued to play a beginner. "If you can lower its defense it will probably be a good idea," Baldrian suggested to Natsumi.
Natsumi's first tackle had bene a clear hit, though the wet grass made it a bit more slippery than she was used to. She had spent most of her life in a town after all. A battle could be fun, but she preferred to eat, but perhaps her human would give her a snack if she liked how she behaved? Until now she had not been cheap with them. She waved with her tail as Baldrian suggested it, and the leaped at the bird for a couple of other tackles.
"Now what is she doing?" Dagrun asked and rummaged in her pocket after her pokedex, so she could look them up. Not that it was necessary to look up a Tail Whip and Tackle, but Baldrian nodded encouragingly to her, and she did not want him to lose faith in her. Being a beginner was one thing, to be hopeless naive was something different.

Listening to the advise of the grass type, the Zigzagoon went forward and slapped the baby bird around with her tail. The Taillow tried to get away but it got slapped a little, and it responded by growling again for getting too close and flinging that tail around. Then, Zigzagoon dashed and slammed the bird down a few more times, but the little avian was still standing. Shaking some of the loose furs off, that the Zigagoon had shed on it, the Taillow shook energetically before going again. Then, it went forward and pecked the Zigzagoon with its small beak, making Natsumi screamed a little from the sudden sharpness. The bird just growled again, this time for getting those furs on its beautiful, feathery body.

Natsumi paused breifly to look warily at the taillow, it had sounded less happy and had pecked a lot harder than she had expected. Was it angry or was it just playing roughly? She glanced at the feathers on the ground, perhaps she had been a bit too rough as well but she wasn't used to playing around. She had mostly been alone while living on the street and fighting with others mostly occured when she tried to get something to eat.
"Oh, so growling makes the other hit less hard," Dagrun exclaimed when she found it on the pokedex, and Baldrian smiled encouragingly to her. "But that makes no sense, why should someone warning you making you to weaken your effort? Wouldn't you instead do more? Or perhaps the warning is more like a threat? That you be wary about getting too close and fear getting hit? On the other hand, if you fear your opponent is going to hit your harder, wouldn't you try get it down as fast as possible?" Baldrian looked helplessly while Dagrun blabbered, he had no answer to her questions.
Natsumi didn't have time for theories, it wouldn't help her get food in her stomach. She leaped forward to tackle her opponent, play or not. Eating would first be after it was done and it would take too long time to give the winning to her opponent. She would continue to tackle the bird until either of them couldn't go any further.
(ooc: tackle until either is done or the three attack has been met)

Pretending to be new to Pokemon, the ninja in disguise looked up information on her Pokedex, only to be confused by how some attacks work. Though whether or not that's intentionally confused could be a different question. Unfortunately, the only Pokemon out was the Budew, and even if it knew what was going on, IT CAN'T SPEAK HUMAN! Maybe it could spell words with leaves or broken branches, but that might take two hours to spell a sentence. Natsumi, on the other hand, was just thinking about food, and whether or not winning this battle would give her food. The Zigzagoon launched forward and attacked, slamming with as much force as her body could, but after being growled by some wild fowl. Heck, the bird wasn't even a song bird! The Taillow had taken the hit, and naturally, used the last of its strength to fly away from this human and her Pokemon, as its curiosity of humans had been filled for the next two weeks.

"Oh, what now?" Dagrun said as the tailow hurried off and Natsumi came trotting back to her and looked hopefully at her. "Have you already won the battle? That was fast," she said surprised and looked curiosu at the zigzagoon who looked expectantly at her. "Well done," she praised her but he didn't look like that had been what she had hoped for. A few more moments followed where the two of them just looked at each other, then Natsumi smacked her lips and licked them, which made Dagrun frown. "Are you hungry?" She asked her pokemon pussled and Natsumi confirmed with a happy exclamation and taking a few more steps forward hopefully. "You have also deserved that for such good work," Dagrun praised her and found some snacks for the pokemon to enjoy. Baldrian got a little as well, though he wasn't much interested. Dagrun found it had been enough for today and went back to the nearby town to relax (and to try gather some rumours about the teams in the region). As she visited the pokemon center, she was handed a blank envelope with the little mark of her home village in the corner. She pretended it was from some family she didn't wanted to handle at the moment which wasn't entirely a lie, since she didn't wanted to risk revela her secret undercover job, and instead took a look at it later, when she had recalled her pokemon. To her surprise it was a ticket to a far-off island which should have some rare to find pokemon, and it was for tonight. ~HOLD! Going to use the mirage ticket I got in the winter event
AFter having returned from the Mirage Island and having stopped a Team Aqua grunt from commiting a crime, Hulda had swiftly changed clothes and pokemon team and was back out on the route like nothing had happened. One thing had changed though, she had become interested in the flying water type she had just met, or something like it as it would be perfect for her first gym-battle against Flannery. She know knew the forest pretty well and would hurry through it to get to route 104, hopefully the wanted pokemon were around in this area as well. (ooc: please switch out the entire team: Everything out and ind goes Baldrian, Natsumi and Fiera, give each of them an Oran Berry to hold, please.)

OOC: Pokemon swapped will deduct oran berry from inventory when it's actually used Thread moved to Petalburg City The man answered to all of Hulda's questions. He didn't know why the Team Aqua was after him, or what they had been after. He knew that Team Aqua was after filling the world with more water, but he can't figure out why his papers would come handy to them, as he didn't think they're related. In fact, this was the first time Team Aqua was after something from Devon Corps, but he thought he heard somebody in a difference conference for fossil Pokemon seen Team Aqua lurking around on information for those aquatic fossil Pokemon. As for Trifon, he didn't really found out much about the grunt's whereabouts, but the grunt do seem to use a communication device and talk in remotely quiet and lonely area. After exiting the forest and changing, she found herself back in the main route that straddles between Petalbug City and Rustboro City. It's a short route, but nevertheless a route between cities. As she was walking, a dangling Wurmple holding onto by a silk string had lost control, and fell onto the ground and tumbled in front of her. The bug rolled around to get upright, and moaned painfully before seeing the human approaching.

Hulda couldn't use Trifon's founding to much, but she thanked him anyway and recalled him before she changed into Dagrun and continued as her.
It was a nice quiet trip through the forest and as she now knew the fasted route through it, she was out on the other side pretty quickly. The sky was disheartening empty of any flying water birds though and she worried they weren't here at all today, since the route wasn't very big. She had heard stories about the wingulls and there it had always been in huge flocks, of course those had been at habors and above sea, but the latter would be difficult for her to achive at the moment. As she continued in a slow pace in the hope of meeting a wingull nevertheless, she came a across what looked like a clumsy wurmple. It wasn't exactly what she was looking for but perhaps it could help her bond more with Baldrian so he would evolve. She called the budew out.
"Hi Baldrian, would you like a little battle?" Dagrun asked and gestured towards the wurmple. "Now don't think I haven't thought this through, I know I still have a lot to learn, but I looked it up and wurmples rarely have anything that should be really hurtfull to you, so what do you say? a nice and little battle so I can learn about it. Perhaps I can even get some badges at some point!" She said excitedly and Baldrian accepted politely. He wanted to help her. He sountered forward and greeted the wurmple before he looked expectantly back at Dagrun. "Ehm, I.." she began and fidgeted, "what do you suggest?" Dagrun asked sheepishly, acting like she had no idea. Baldrian look at her for a few moments, before he opened his top a bit and grew a bit over a couple of times while enjoying the sunlight. "Growth, but why start with that?" Dagrun mumbled and picked up the pokedex to pretend she needed to look it up. While she did that Baldrian used an absorb on the wurmple, hopefully giving a bit more damage than without the growth. He was at disadvantage here, on all fronts and he knew that.
(ooc: Growth *2 and an absorb) addition to Baldrians profile: He doesn't see himself as anything special and his different colors are just colors. He likes Dagrun and is patient enough to want to learn her how to be a trainer.)

Responding to the trainer's cluelessness, the young Baldrian used the power of sunlight reaching through the dense leaves and grew itself a little. The young plant appeared to gained a little height and mass. The equally sheepish (to Dagrun, not Baldrian) shot a String Shot at the opponent, wrapping the little budding Pokemon in a cocoon of white, silky strings. However, the grass type wasn't done growing yet, and grew some more with the tip of his head absorbing sunlight. The growth managed to burst the tight string shot squeezing him, but he could feel a little sluggish after that String Shot. Then, the squishy Wurmple crawled forward to slam on the Budew. Baldrian was pushed back a little, but the impact wasn't enough to lose balance or fall on the ground completely. The Budew then used Absorb as a glowing green string of energy from the tip of his head touched the Wurmple and drained some energy back. The nervous Wurmple retaliated by shooting a volley of poison stings, but thankfully because Baldrian was also part poison type, he won't be poisoned!
