Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Mirella took a relieved breath, when the first Pokeball clicked shut after two rolls, and she put her reserve back in the pocket. Aleksi yipped with excitement and jumped happily around Mirella's feet to celebrate. Tse'ri gave a couple of wobbles up and down more, and then waited in stillness for Mirella's next move. She went and picked up the Pokeball, and secured it on her belt beside the others. "Good work, both of you." she praised, and then recalled Tse'ri as she looked like she was only waiting on that. She stood a moment afterwards, ignoring Aleksi as she thought. She disliked the thought of having the Espurr like a burning Pokeball in her belt, and readily decided to go back to the Pokecenter to change her team around. She wouldn't risk that the Espurr popped out on its own. Mirella didn't feel entirely ready to leave Rustboro just yet, but experience from her walk so far seemed to indicate her team was a bit on the strong side to the wild Pokemon in the city. With regret she also left Whiskas, Fly and Lily, and took Caddis, Kaleo and the Karrablast on the team after depositing the Espurr. Then she went and had lunch with all of them outside, like she had promised Aleksi. Wordcount: 216

Having lunch with her Pokemon outside their Pokeball, the gang were enjoying their meal time for a while until a curious Scatterbug noticed they were doing a delicious activity. Looking from afar behind a bush that was planted on the side walk, the Scatterbug fired a string shot at the middle of the light pole and flung itself closer. (Rustboro city Scatterbug seemed to have adapted to swinging around in the city and leaving string shots on the light poles, but thankfully they decay fast enough to not make the city looks ugly.) However, a sudden gust of wind blew the amateur bug off its balance on the string, and it landed poorly as it rolled in front of the gang. Ouie, that wasn't how it planned to execute the landing.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Mirella actually enjoyed the lunch, though it was a rather strange gathering of Pokemon on her team, and she didn't know any of them half as well as she did Whiskas. Tse'ri's quiet demeanor fit her the most, but Aleksi was certainly growing on her, and the Tympole, Kaleo, brought a bright tune to the table as they ate. Karrablast was still imitating the others most of the time, and had settled on Tse'ri, so no sudden actions from that front. She really needed to find a name to it soon. 'Karrablast' just felt too detached. With the four of them behaving so well, Mirella couldn't help but keep a nervous eye on Caddis, who still looked very much on edge. She did eat in peace, so Mirella allowed herself to relax for the remainder of the meal. Mirella was just about to bite into an apple after having taken the last bite of her rye sandwich, when a Scatterbug dropped down almost in the midst of their group. Mirella startled and froze, the fruit halfway to her mouth. Her Pokemon halted in their meal too, one in particular seeming to size the bug up. Mirella sent Caddis a warning look, and then took a quick decision. "You hungry?" she asked the bug. Her Pokemon returned to eating, as she took the lead towards the stranger. Except for Caddis who still couldn't help but look for an opponent. Mirella found her vegetable knife and cut the fruit in pieces, before offering them to the Scatterbug. She of course knew it was a risk to feed wild Pokemon. They could end up deciding to follow you. She had done so intentionelly with that in mind for Aleksi and Kaleo, but this time she didn't care what the Scatterbug decided from the offer. She would wait for her Pokemon to finish, now she had no more to eat, and then they could go on. Whether the Scatterbug decided to tag along or not, Mirella would figure it out, when she got to it. Watching the human, the Scatterbug noticed the trainer didn't bite into the apple. Instead, she took out a knife and began slicing it. The bug crawled closer as she was cutting it, closing the distance between its mouth and the apple. When it was close, it snatched the apple slice and bit that slice in half. Chewing the half-slice, the Scatterbug's face was a range of emotion. When it was finished though, it shook its head and dropped the other half-slice. Nope. There was something odd about the apple for the Scatterbug. Maybe it was a bit too sweet, or too sour, or had too much moisture. Whatever it was, the taste wasn't as exciting as it thought. It stared at Mirella, wondering if she got more food.
Fresh Fruit failed. One deducted. Photobucket is working again sorta but I have other stuff going on that uploading pics to another site at the mean time isn't high on my priority.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Mirella watched the bug taste the apple slice like some connoisseur, and grimaced slightly when it dismissed the rest of it. She shrugged at the look it sent her. "I can't help it if you're a picky eater. I don't have anything else." It was partly true. Whatever else she had of food in her backpack, she was saving for the return trip to Petalburg. She waited for her team to finish, and let the Karrablast take the rest of the apple, as she didn't want it to go to waste. Aleksi sniffed at it, but quickly dismissed the fruit in favour of her last piece of dried meat. The Pooch really enjoyed to chew on the tough, almost leather like texture, and Mirella assumed it was good for her teeth. When they were done, Mirella rose to her feet, and called most of them back in their balls, only letting Aleksi stay out. She had been well behaved and still seemed eager to investigate the city. "Bye, Scatterbug. Nice meeting you." she greeted, before walking away back into the streets. She kept an eye on the sun. At some point she would have to turn towards Petalburg, but it looked like she still had some hours to spare. Wordcount: 209

After saying goodbye from the Scatterbug and finishing their meal, Mirella and her Pokemon walked down and continued in Rustboro City as they, or rather, she had some time to kill. She came across an antique store next, where various fragile and very expensive-looking vases were out in the front of the store with signs indicating how much they would be. For someone with a home, money, and an antique taste, this would be the perfect store. Oh, and also if you have means to transport things this heavy to your home! A Meowth from inside the store was suddenly shooed away by a loud roar, from a Pokemon unknown. The owner of the store was quite wise to keep a Roaring Pokemon to deter stray Pokemon on the streets and reduced the profit loss from damages. The feline exited with a disappointment on its face, as it didn't know why it was sent away before it even got more than five steps in the store. When it saw Mirella, the cat hissed angrily at first, but then just gave her a grumpy stare.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Mirella walked for a little while, not really seeing anything that caught her attention. Aleksi was happy just sniffing around her feet and keeping within eye sight. Mirella stopped a moment to admire the vases on display in an antique store. She would never afford one herself, and didn't quite see the use of the fragile things either, but they were really nice to look at. She jumped a bit, when a roar sounded from inside, and for just a moment she thought she had done something wrong, but then a cat emerged from the store, and Mirella calmed down immediately. She hadn't done anything. The Meowth however looked rattled, and hissed at her and Aleksi's presence, before settling on just glaring at them. Mirella gave it a vain smile, a bit unsure. "You looking for a fight? To get that nervousness out of the system?" She asked. Aleksi wagged her tail and gave a short yap to show, she was happy to take on the challenge. Mirella smiled more sincerely. "I still think you are too strong for the Pokemon here, but you could give it a Sand Attack." she suggested. "Just move a bit more away from the windows of the shop. We don't want to damage anything." To put on an example Mirella moved away from the window and into the middle of the street, while Aleksi seemed to have understood her immediately and tried to push the cat further out in the street with her sand attack. When that was done Mirella took a moment to consider. She didn't think Aleksi would be careful enough with the Meowth to actually let it blow off some steam. "That's good enough, Aleksi. Tse'ri will take it from here." she decided, and called forth the Goomy. Admittedly the Goomy was pretty strong too, but the jelly like body didn't pack as much of a punch. "Try a Bubble, Tse'ri. Gently."Wordcount: 321

The cat growled after Mirella had asked it a question, and then chased the human and her Poochyena as they gradually moved away from the store. An on-looker who wasn't paying attention before, decided now would be a good time to pay attention. After being lured away, the cat wasn't expecting for the dog to kicked up so much dust in its face. Ugh, its pristine furs were being ruined! Not to mention, of course, its eyes being dusty now. The feline dashed forward and bit on the dark type, but the dog had quite some strong skin to resist the damaeg. When the Goomy Pokemon switched in, the Meowth tried again for a bite, but that was fruitless as the blob Pokemon wiggled a bit, completely making the bite missed. The Meowth's teeth hurt a little from the missed bite, but it won't be as painful as like, missing a High-Jump Kick and crash landing on the ground. Then, the weird Pokemon fired off some bubbles in the Meowth's direction, making the blurry eyed Pokemon hit a couple of them trying to dodge them. The cat's eyes were squinting quite hard. In retaliation, the cat ran forward and scratched the blubber a few times. It surprisingly hurt the dragon type a bit.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) It was a relief how easy it was to get the cat away from the shop windows, and Mirella kept close attention to both Pokemon and surroundings, in an effort to achieve what she had set her mind to without hurting anyone or breaking something. It was nice too having Aleksi listen to her wishes, even taking the biting from the cat with barely a blink of the eye. It was proof that Aleksi was too strong, and Mirella considered the need to change her team around again, if she wanted to stay in the city much longer. At least the Meowth got to use some aggression as Tse'ri was taking the attacks just as well, maybe even better than the Pooch. The last scratch attack had seemed to surprise Tse'ri, so maybe it had actually hurt, but the Goomy waited patiently for Mirella's move. Mirella eyed the Meowth for damage, before deciding on an even weaker attack. "Use Absorb. It's starting to look tired." She didn't know why, but she pitied the angry feline. She hoped she really was helping it this way, but she couldn't bare the thought of actually fainting the little creature. Mirella fingered a Pokeball, while Tse'ri executed the Absorb in silence. Mirella gave a slight nod to herself. She would catch the meowth, ending the fight before any real exhaustion, and then she could always release the cat again, if it hated her action or something. "Watch it, Tse'ri. Ball coming your way" she warned, and made the toss towards the Meowth. Wordcount: 258

Using an Absorb, the Goomy sent some light green glowing thing at the opponent, draining its health. The Meowth tried for a growl to weaken the dragon type's attack, but it sounded faint and tired. The Meowth was a sort of quick match for Tse'ri. If it had one more hit, it would have been passed out by now. Taking compassion on the sweet little feline, the trainer tossed a Pokeball at the Meowth. The sphere flew forward and warped the normal type in a different space. The ball shook to the right.
DING! There wasn't much of a struggle coming from the Meowth, and the Pokemon was quickly and successfully captured.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) The capture worked fast this time, and Mirella didn't have any qualms at picking the ball up like she had with the eerie Espurr. "Thank you, Tse'ri. You did well." she told the Goomy. Aleksi yipped eagerly, like she wanted to make sure she wasn't forgotten, and Mirella smiled. "You too, Aleksi. It was good of you to let Tse'ri take over." Mirella pocketed the ball, and continued. "But now I think we need to return to the Pokecenter and let you guys have a rest. You two are too strong for these streets, it seems." Aleksi hung her head at these words, but Tse'ri didn't seem to mind. Mirella squatted down to get more on level with the Pooch. "It's just for a little while, Aleksi. I promise you'll get a proper work out in just a few days. You'll get your chance against the best trainer in Petalburg." She recalled both Aleksi and Tse'ri after this and hurried back to the center. Back in the Pokecenter she dicovered someone had already shown an interest in the Espurr she had caught. She had known it was rare, but she hadn't counted on the possibility to get rid of it the same day. She hated having to rush decisions even if she didn't want to have responsibility for the Espurr longer than necessary. Even if she didn't like it, it still deserved a decent trainer, and Mirella had no way of knowing if the person would be right for it. At least they were kind enough to provide a picture of themselves and a short description, a middle aged girl with a merry smile. Though this procedure were likely custom as Mirella herself had needed to provide a 'trainer profile' when she registered herself for trading. A little hesitant she accepted the request for trade instead of direct sale. She didn't saw the harm in receiving another Pokemon instead, and the offered Sneasel, though no water type, looked fitting for the more covert things she might be doing in the future. Too late she realized that if she wanted to use the Sneasel as an Aqua, she should probably have used a false name, but she could do nothing about that now. At the end of it all she no longer had to worry about the piercing eyes of the Espurr, and she had Sneasel practically untrained. She sat for a whole ten minuted trying to figure out in her head how she wanted to rearrange her team now, and ended up taking the Sneasel with her immediately. She had already boxed Aleksi, Tse'ri and the Meowth, and was back to pleasent few numbers to overlook, or at least compared to recent days. Four was still plenty in Mirella's books. The couple of hours of the afternoon had diminished. It wasn't long to dusk now, and Mirella decided her small team needed to familiarize themselves with each other, so she went to a nearby park letting them out one by one starting with Caddis. It was an odd collection, but maybe the diversity was just what this little team needed. "Caddis, Kaleo, Karrablast," she started, regretting once more that she hadn't gotten around to naming the Karrablast yet. "This is your new team mate, Sneasel. Her name's Kali." She let them size each other up. Caddis clipped her pincers in her usual aggressive manner, but didn't attack at least. The Sneasel clicked her claws and grinded them together to produce a highpitched whine. Mirella winced and rubbed her ears. "Right. That will be enough rippling with your muscles. Dusk is setting soon, but as we are going back to Petalburg tonight, you will have apt opportunities to show each other just how well you battle. No fighting each other in the meantime." She gave Caddis a look, showing that she was keeping an eye on them, but she didn't say more. She sat back on the bench close by, and let the four Pokemon mingle. Wordcount: 665

OOC: pick an ability for Sneasel Watching some Pokemon in the park, a young and naive Bonsly thought totally different thing: It though they were playing a game! Maybe they were, maybe they weren't, but it didn't know that Caddis and the Sneasel were a little on the aggressive side, as well as a bit of a show off. The wild rock type joined in, running along its stumpy little feet to join them, happy that it found itself another game with random Pokemon. It wobbled up toward the group, and greeted itself with a squeal. Then, it jumped up and down and energetically cried about wanting to play and join. Poor Bonsly, it was too naive to know better!

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Caddis set to sulking when she realised Mirella wouldn't let her fight just yet, but Kaleo and the Karrablast started a small game of tag as soon as Mirella had sat down. The Sneasel Kali studied the three from a little ways off. She didn't try to butt in or participate in the shenanigans, but seemed to be waiting for something, and often gave Caddis daring looks. Caddis clipped her pincers each time, almost growling in anticipation of getting one on one with the new Pokemon. Each time Caddis reacted to the looks, Kali offered a sinister smile, and Caddis started to think she might have find someone of equal ilk to herself. Didn't mean she intended to get soft towards anyone. The get-together didn't last long before a wild creature approached in an eager manner rivaling Karrablast's enthusiasm for the game. Kaleo and Karrablast was deaf and blind to the newcomer though, and Caddis ignored the Pokemon who smelled weak and acted like a child anyway. The thing was enough of a challenge. Kali on the other hand approached the Bonsly with a gleam in her eyes, clipping her claws together in acceptance of the 'play thing'. Still she said nothing, but bowed her head in invitation to the Bonsly, and gave it a challenging Leer. Mirella found the behaviour of Caddis and Kali funny, and she smiled in secret. Just this moment made her sure she wouldn't regret getting the Sneasel. With someone challenging Caddis and standing its ground against Caddis' abrasive manners, Caddis would have a rival to take the edge of her anger. At least Mirella hoped that would happen. The appearance of a Bonsly wouldn't have surprised Mirella so much, if it hadn't had a strange colour. She had never seen a Bonsly with red top, and it made her wonder if it had tried to mimic autumn leaves instead of fresly green ones. These thoughts stopped her from acting immediately on Kali's reaction, and she was late to interfere. However, with how the Bonsly had come to them, she might not have to do anything right away. She waited and saw Kali ready Scratch attack. Wordcount: 361

The Bonsly tried to shy away from the two scary Pokemon. One was clicking his pincer like he was about to announce the lottery, and the other just have some sharp claws. Most of the Pokemon kind of just ignored it, but when the sharp claw Pokemon bowed and clicker her claws, Bonsly felt strangely invited but also intimidated by the feline Pokemon. It was too young to understand, but it felt like she wasn't fully honest about the invitation. The Bonsly gave a fake tears, but it was hopping for joy like it was excited to be playing a game. When the Bosnly least expected it, the ice type gave the Bosnly a scratch with her claws. However, its got tougher skin that it looked, and that barely made a dent. The rock type jerked a little in response, and slammed its petite body on Kali, damaging her a little. It looked like this game was off to a rough start.

Day four: Sightseeing (Rustboro City) Mirella watched carefully, in case the wild Bonsly looked like it didn't enjoy itself. The Fake Tears almost made her stop the 'game' then and there, but instead she decided to have her Pokedex monitor the moves and explain them to her. Despite the tears, the Bonsly was jumping around like it was happy, even if it had hesitated at first. Mirella had been right to assume, the Sneasel wasn't as strong as her other Pokemon, and her attack barely seemed to scratch the surface of the Bonsly's trunk. That Rock typing was a great defense. Mirella had enough experience with Bonslys to know they weren't grass types. The poor tree imitator wouldn't stand a chance against her regular team. While Kali instigated another Scratch attack, Mirella pondered if she wanted the Bonsly. She still preferred her water types, but that had also gotten her Pokemon in trouble more than once. Rock types didn't exactly cover her Pokemons' current weaknesses, but she found the Bonsly's mimicry sort of interesting, the different colour intrigued her too. When Kali and the Bonsly had taken another round, Mirella called out to Kali. It was time she found out if the Sneasel would listen to her. "Try a Quick Attack next, Kali." The Sneasel froze momentarily in her movements, casting a sideway glance in Mirella's direction, and Mirella feared she would face immediate refusal, but then Kali moved again with quick steps. She was doing as told. Mirella fingered a Pokeball, but decided to wait and see how the Bonsly would be off after this. Wordcount: 261
