Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) Mirella drew a breath of relief, when the Shroomish was withdrawn, and the next up was only a Whismur. Not that Whismurs couldn't be trouble, but at least her water types were on more equal grounds with them. She started to think her Pokemon had a chance of coming out of this richer in experience at least. Karen's continued talk about an estimated time of length for a battle, led Mirella to believe she had formulated her question wrong, but she held her tongue and let the girl go on. In a roundabout way, she got her answer anyway, and she nodded in understanding as thanks. Mirella only watched as Karen gave the Whismur the battle plan. Fly was fast and began on her bubbles as soon as the Shroomish was gone. Mirella hesitated. She should be more a part of the battle and make suggestions of her own, she figured, but Fly was doing so well on her own, and Mirella didn't have the practise to react as fast as the others. Even Karen seemed quick to think on her feet, though the girl had indicated she wasn't much of a battler herself. Thinking it over, Mirella decided she had to give it a try, and called out to Fly. "A Quick Attack next, then it's Whiskas turn, Fly." Mirella smiled satisfied with her decision, and pulled out Whiskas' ball. Fly was good enough to follow her wish and zapped about, halting with the bubble invasion. Making sure she was out of the way, Mirella revealed Whiskas on the scene, and immediately asked for a Mud-slap. She rushed herself a bit, trying to keep the same pace as her opponent and the Pokemon. She wasn't entirely sure, how much Fly had been hurt or not by the Whismur's attack. She would need to check that, when it was over. (Ooc: Fly uses Quick Attack. Whiskas changes in and uses Mud-slap. Wordcount: 310)

"Well, then Whismur, keep on using Pound!" Karen hollered, throwing an arm that was holding a pencil in the air, cheering for her Pokemon as she resumed splitting her concentration writing notes and paying attention to the battle. As the battle resumed, Surskiy hurriedly darted forward for a quick attack, only to be slapped by the Whismur's hefty ears again. Then, the mud fish took over her position, and was also greeted by the ears before it could do anything. The boost from howl had made the pound attack harder, and Whiskas could feel a decent amount of pain coming from the normal type Pokemon's impacting attack. When it was done, Whiskas wiggled his slippery body and flung some mud on the Whismur, fainting the opponent entirely. "Wow, the battle was over already?" Karen gasped, looking up. Then, she scrambled to put her notes away and thanked her Pokemon for the help. Walking over to Mirella, she handed her the prize money, and a congratulations that she bested her Shroomish, and waved goodbye as she headed toward a Pokemon Center. The route was quiet again after the battle had ended. It looked like both parties learned something new today.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) The nerves drained out of Mirella's body as Whiskas made quick work with the Whismur. It was finally over, and yet Karen was partly right too. It had gone by fast in the end, it was almost surprising. The departure of the girl, felt a bit hurried too, though Karen took the time to congratulate her on the win and pack her things together. Mirella tried to praise her back for the challenge she had offered, and wished her good luck with her school work. She stared after the girl, until she remembered she needed to check if Fly was alright. She shook her head and turned to Whiskas. "Good one, Whiskas. We might be able to grow stronger yet." She told him, knowing his wish to be independent. Then she turned to the pond, where Fly had resumed her water play. She waved the bug over and let her crawl onto her arm, while she examined her for injuries. She would need to do the same for Caddis. Fly only looked tired, so Mirella let her off, and while Whiskas slipped into the water too, Mirella called forth Caddis for a check up. Caddis struggled a bit standing when the light first diminished, and even after she found her feet, she seemed too tired to move much, though that didn't stop her from trying to pinch Mirella, when she brushed her hands at her shell. "Sorry, I couldn't help enough." Mirella apologized with no effect, and continued: "You did very well, you know. Shroomish isn't an easy opponent, and you managed to hold it off for a long time." The way Caddis completely ignored her, Mirella doubted it worked to soften Caddis' sour mood, but it was all Mirella could offer. Maybe the Corphish just needed time. Mirella let her sit by the pond and fell back into the silence she had enjoyed before the girl arrived. She saw no reason to walk much further, since that would just bring her to Oldale. This place was nice. She could easily spend the rest of the afternoon here. After the battle with Karen, Mirella was tending her Pokemon's mood, trying to soothe Caddis from the loss as well as congratulating her Barboach. With the battle over, she could quietly experience the pleasant scenery this route have, once again feeling the peace in this route. After maybe five to ten minutes had gone by, a sudden shriek alerted the trainer. It turned out a young Ralts had been trying to figure out its own power, and teleported instead on top of the cold water. The sudden temperature change was not a great feeling for Ralts, and the psychic type, although usually quiet, shrieked from the cold water. Then, it saw the trainer and was embarrassed, now it was a bit tired and cold to concentrate its power and then teleport away. It waved at the human awkwardly and smiled shyly. "Hello there, human, you didn't see me just freaking out about the water's temperature." were what Mirella's Pokemon probably read from the Ralts.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) At peace with the following quietness Mirella lost herself in the shimmering water, while two of her Pokemon splashed around nearby. Caddis didn't do much else but sit still beside her, and Mirella hoped it was a good sign the Corphish didn't mind her company. A sudden shriek a while later startled her eyes wide open, and the curious sight of a small, white figure in the water met her. It had a humanoid form, looking almost like a miniature child, and then it waved at her Mirella raised her hand and waved back slowly. What else was she supposed to do? Mirella wracked her brain, trying to remember what kind of Pokemon it might be, a rare one like Surskit no doubt since she didn't remember seeing it before. Caddis gave a gurgling sound beside her and made clicking noises with her pinchers, but before she could throw herself out in the water after the white figure, Mirella called her back in her ball and held it tight in an effort to make sure she didn't break out on her own. Mirella was starting to get that the Corphish was particular aggressive, and she didn't want to risk another fight already. "No fighting, Fly and Whiskas, right?" she called out to the playmates in the water. Whiskas gave a splash her way, his way of saying he had heard her and followed. Fly, that was visible on top of the water, bobbed her head up and down in obvious agreement, and proceeded to approach the newcomer with a greeting wave. Mirella relaxed back, trusting them to play nice. Fly approached the embarrassed Ralts slowly. 'Need any help?' she asked, figuring the non-water type wasn't used to the wet element. Whiskas wasn't far behind, and he swam in a circle around the Ralts ready to offer a lift onto dry land if needed. Both ignored the Ralts' embarrassment. 'You don't have to worry about Mirella. She's had enough excitement for today.' Whiskas ensured the Ralts, sensing its unease as something to do with the human. (Ooc: Trying to end things peacefully. Wordcount: 345)

Accepting the Barboach's offer, the Ralts was escorted by the ground and water Pokemon back to land. The psychic type thanked the strangers and then walked away, since it was recovering mental power for another teleport. And plus, walking meant that it won't be stumbling into cold water anytime soon. Underneath the cold water, a seemingly innocent lilypad suddenly changed direction, as a Lotad noticed something moving by the shore. It swam slowly, looking like a leaf drifting toward the land on the surface. Then, when it landed, the Lotad tilted its body on one side to get the "hat"-water off to reduce the weight on its head. With the big hat on its head, it couldn't really see the human even though she was nearby per say, but it crawled forward and bumped into something.... Seeing in water seemed better for this Lotad.
A (level 10) Lotad appeared! if captured it can have hidden ability Own Tempo. Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) Mirella watched out the corner of her eye, as Fly and Whiskas helped the pale figure onshore, and she relaxed back further when it walked away without wanting more. Mirella closed her eyes, while the sound of splashing continued as Whiskas slipped back in the pond. She imagined Fly dance into the middle of the water and Whiskas following her just beneath the surface. She wasn't entirely calm though. The thought of what she had to do was very much in the forefront of her mind, and she tried to puzzle out details. She put down Caddis' ball, where the Corphish had sat before, and tried to count on her fingers what she would need. To get herself started, she decided she would pay her father a visit first. That way it wouldn't feel completely like she was going somewhere frightening unknown. Caddis' ball bumped into her leg, and Mirella opened her eyes to see what had happened. She hadn't heard anything. She was delighted to see a Lotad's lilypad just beside her. She hadn't truly believed she would be able to meet both water types of the route, when she went out earlier, and her luck had been too good with Fly. Yet, here the Lotad walked right up to her, and Mirella felt blessed. She didn't get much time to relish in her luck though. The push to Caddis' ball apparently trickered the Corphish to pop out. "Oh, Caddis, won't you give it a rest," Mirella said tiredly. The Lotad was too close for Mirella to use the same trick as before. Caddis would be over the poor thing, before she even had the time to call her back. Instead, Mirella fished out an empty ball, the kind made especially for fishermen, the net ball. She only had 2 at the moment, but it was enough. "Sorry, Lotad, but you'll be safe from Caddis in this ball. I hope you don't mind." she said while dropping the ball down in front of Caddis as a way of intercepting any coming attack. (Ooc: Caddis in front. Using Net Ball. The Lotad jumped when it saw Caddis came out. IT was surprised not because it was Caddis herself, but it was shocked that a Pokemon popped out of nowhere-- from the Pokeball, of course. Before the surprise adrenaline rush was over, the lily pad Pokemon sensed the Corphish's eagerness to have a fight. The Lotad Pokemon was running wild trying to dodge the crustacean Pokemon when it hit the Net Ball. Soon it was warped into the capture device. The ball wiggled once. The inside of the capture device was actually cozy, and the Net Ball quickly hummed a loud DING! to signal the successful capture of the Pokemon. Now the Lotad would be in Mirella's team.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) Caddis screeched, when the Lotad disappeared right in front of her, and Mirella winced. The Corphish was getting rather trying on her, but as it was a well meant gift from her father she would have to find a way to make it work no matter how long it took. "Caddis," Mirella sighed, and picked up the net ball with her new catch. "Calm down. Lotad wasn't attacking you. I'm sure it was only curious. You need to relax and only fight when someone actually wants to." She tried to reason with her. Caddis clicked her pinchers together in a threatening manner towards Mirella, and Mirella immediately held out her ball, ready to call her back if necessary. "I'm warning you. I won't tolerate you getting aggressive with me or any other Pokemon on this team. If you don't learn to control yourself, I can't trust to send you into battles. You do want to battle, right?" Her words for once seemed to make Caddis pause. Mirella nodded once. "Thought so. Then it's very simple. You behave yourself, and spend a little time examining a situation before going on the offence, and I'll let you battle, when we come across Pokemon and trainers that wish for matches." She studied Caddis' reaction, but she just stood still clicking slowly. "If you can do that, you are free to stay out here with the rest of us, but if that's too hard you are going back in the ball." Mirella added the final nail. Caddis' eyes turned to slits, Mirella could almost see the snap decision being made, and before she could blink Caddis had hit a knuckle against the still outstretched ball and disappeared in a flash. Mirella sighed and shrugged, but considered it a progress. The Corphish had decided on her own to stay in the ball this time. Settling back once more, Mirella pulled forth the net ball to have a look at the Lotad. Turned out it was female, and Mirella immediately named her Lily, as that was all she could think about looking at the flat leaf on her head. The Lotad moved slowly around, now nothing threatened it, and it spend a good deal of time looking at Mirella's hand up close. Fly stopped by and said hello, and apparently invited the Lotad back in the water, because it wasn't long before Lily waddled down to the edge and jumped in. Mirella followed the lilypad with her eyes feeling the need to watch more carefully, when she didn't know what to expect of the new addition. As Mirella was trying to understand her new Pokemon and dealing with her old Pokemon, the trainer remained by the lake as her Surskit and Lotad enjoyed the small body of water. As always for trainers, the area seemed to quiet down for a bit until something happens. Though there were instances where things happen without a human around. As the two water Pokemon were playing, they could hear a sound humming as if it was trying to communicate with them. A small pair of ripple appear on the surface of the water, and slowly drifted toward them. It turned out to be a Tympole that was humming by vibrating its cheek, but the sound could not be heard by Mirella was it wasn't in audible range for human. The Pokemon seemed to be interested in whatever the human's Pokemon were doing.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) It was a nice day after all, and having settled things with Caddis for now, Mirella let her eyes rest for a moment when it turned out Lily played very well with Whiskas and Fly. It looked like some sort of tag, with Fly racing around as the other two tried to touch her feet from beneath the water. Mirella closed her eyes and didn't react immediately when the sound of their playing changed. It was an odd quietness that finally got her looking again, and she wondered at what they were looking for until she finally saw the new arrival, or at least the ripples of the new comer on the water. Mirella stayed alert, trying to see what had approached the playmates, and hopefully discern what it wanted. Fly was the first to notice the newcomer. She tried to mimic the curious sound in greeting and invited the Tympole to play along with the rest of them. Fly didn't mind having an extra chasing her, since she was fast enough for Whiskas and Lily both. As long as Mirella didn't interfere, and she didn't right now, they could play on undisturbed. As soon Mirella noted the Pokemon was friendly, she did nothing else. She rubbed her eyes a couple of times, unsure if she was seeing right through the water. A Tympole wasn't exactly common sight. She hoped it would stay for a while. After a while of watching them play, she decided it was time for a small snack break, and she pulled out her lunch box, picking out some fruit and vegetables. "Hey, friends," she called out to the Pokemon in a soft voice, not to scare the stranger. "Who's hungry? Your new friend is welcome too." She held out an arm in invitation to join her by the shore. Startled by seeing her Pokemon being startled by the new comer, Mirella kept an eye out to see what was bothering her Pokemon. Noticing the ripples in the water, the newcomer Tympole met with her Pokemon and played with their game of tag for a while. After playing for a while, she hollered at them to have some meal time. The Tympole saw Mirella's hand as an invitation, something that it saw other human had done to other Pokemon before they joined the human. Could this be? An invitation to join her? It then eyed over to the food. There were some cellulose that it recognized from food being tossed into the water or fell into the lake, but there were also new crops that it didn't recognize. Its mind was thinking a lot about the scenes it saw before, of humans befriending a Pokemon. Perhaps, this time it was its turn! The Tympole smiled and vibrated its cheek, and happily hopped on land to join the meal.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) Mirella held her breath for a moment, as she waited to see if the new playmate decided to join in the meal. Whiskas stayed in the water by the shore, and Mirella started throwing small pieces of bread out to him as Fly and Lily joined her on land. Fly was the last to settle down. She seemed to take a bit of extra time gauging the Tympole's reaction, before she waved and let the food tempt her to land. Meanwhile Lily had waddled onshore and had put herself close to Mirella's leg and the vegetables, where she nibbled at the treat. Mirella smiled carefully at the Tympole, when it joined them too, and she offered what seemed to have its eye. "You're a real beaut" she said honestly, though admittedly she was biased by her love for water pokemon. Fly protested, seemingly getting jealous since she hadn't received the same praise, and Mirella gigled. "You are too, Fly. I thought you knew that already."It wasn't long before her small lunch box was empty. Mirella had taken her time with her own sandwich, but with 3 Pokemon more to feed than the ones she went out with in the morning, it couldn't last for long. The Tympole stuck around even after the food was gone and made a small show of bubbles alongside Fly. Mirella didn't hesitate to offer it a ball after that, with how the others had already taken a shine to him, and he likewise enjoyed their company, it only seemed natural. He accepted her offer without a hitch, and Mirella felt very accomplished. She had no doubt her travel could turn difficult, if she was taking the route of a trainer. It was good to have some backup. Finally, Mirella called back the rest of the team and got to her feet. There was still some of the afternoon left, but Mirella figured she could start going back. Without rush she set foot on the trail back home. (Ooc: Wandering the forest. After watching her Pokemon befriended a wild Tympole, as well as having a snack time with her Pokemon, Mirella was well rested and ready to go again. Resumed walking in Route 102, this time, she was returning home, and if she's lucky or on time, she would make it before the sky turns dark. As she was walking, the sun was setting down, painting the sky from blue to a calming blend of orange and yellow. Out from the woods, a lone Zigzagoon was running in zigzag pattern. It stopped every few steps, pointing its nose in the air as it sniffed for hint of food. Then, just when it saw an uneaten fruit hidden in the grass across the route, it ran forward, only to skid to a stop because it almost bumped into a walking trainer! It growled cutely and casually went forward to grab the fruit and eat it, and then stared at Mirella with a friendly face. Perhaps it was curious to see her reaction.

Day one: Forest walk (Route 102) The hint of the light waning as she walked didn't exactly came as a surprise for Mirella, but somehow she had hoped for a bit more time. She refused to pick up the speed though, and instead slowed down even more, as the shadows grew longer. She halted completely when a Zigzagoon crossed the path, apparently to get at something tasty on the ground. It wasn't shy in the slightest, and Mirella waited patiently for it to finish to see what it would do next. The growl it emitted didn't exactly sound challenging, but Mirella hadn't forgotten her promise to Caddis, and she asked carefully. "Would you be up for a small battle? I have a very battle eager Corphish in need of exercise." He held out Caddis ball, and let her out to show the Zigzagoon what she was talking about in case the Zigzagoon wasn't familiar with Corphish. Caddis held her part of their deal and waited, while Mirella waited for the Zigzagoon's answer. First when it was affirmed did she go all out with clipping claws from the get go. No more dancing around for the day. Caddis had no patience left for that right now. (Ooc: Caddis uses Vice Gripx2 Wordcount: 199)
